    Great Documentary On Mike Tyson

One of my top sports idols ever
Nobody ever had his boxing skills
    speed and power unmatched
He just had bad guidance in his prime and ruined him

for a very brief time, Mike was as good as anyone ever has been.

fighters were scared to death of him.

Given his raw talent, underrated intelligence and sub-human upbringing, Tyson has been and always will be one of the more compelling athletes in the history of sports.

I think Robin Givens ruined him also in his prime along with Don King

Way too many distractions that he just could not avoid

I think it was when Don King convinced Tyson to fire Kevin Rooney when things started to go bad for Mike. Rooney was a firm believer in the teachings of Cus.

Yeah he was about that. Great fight that was not on PPV, but either regular TV/HBO. Still think the ref gave Douglas a long count on that Tyson Knockdown. I Watch the fight every now and then on youtube.

One of my favorite Tyson moments ever was when he was giving a press conference and his love of pigeons was brought up.

A reporter sitting in asked Mike if pigeons were the ni**ers of the bird world.

All the other reporters were shocked at the question, you could even hear a few gasps.

Mike's reaction was priceless and I'll never forget it.

He looked the reporter right in his eyes, looked down, and thoughtfully pondered the question and gave a thoughtful reply.

Media image of him as a mindless brute shattered with a single question and answer.

Some of my favorite Tyson quotes:

“One morning I woke up and found my favorite pigeon, Julius, had died I was devastated and was gonna use his crate as my stickball bat to honor him. I left the crate on my stoop and went in to get something and I returned to see the sanitation man put the crate into the crusher. I rushed him and caught him flush on the temple with a titanic right hand he was out cold, convulsing on the floor like an infantile retard.”

“My power is discombobulatingly devastating I could feel muscle tissues collapse under my force. It’s ludicrous these mortals even attempt to enter my realm.”

“Who am I? What am I? I don’t even know who I am. I’m just a dumb child. I’m being abused. I’m being robbed by lawyers. I think I have more money than I do. I’m just a dumb pugnacious fool. I’m just a fool who thinks I’m someone. And you tell me I should be responsible?”

“I can sell out Madison Square Garden masturbating.”

“When Jesus comes back, these crazy, greedy, capitalistic men are gonna kill him again.”

“I’m just a dark guy from a den of iniquity. A dark shadowy figure from the bowels of iniquity. I wish I could be Mike who gets an endorsement deal. But you can’t make a lie and a truth go together. This country wasn’t built on moral fiber. This country was built on rape, slavery, murder, degradation and affiliation with crime.”

i consider mike tyson the most interesting athlete ever

i always loved the guy, loved him even more after winning 19-1 on holyfield in the first fight. holyfield cheated both fights, tyson had no right biting his ear off but he was getting butted

His life was just pure chaos, no supervision or a good team around him

Something happened after he lost to Buster Douglass, it seems he got scared
