    It's going to take a miracle to be .500. I can see some 2-8 and 3-9 seasons mixed in with 6-4 late in his tenure.

    i'm sure with the continued reconfiguring of power conferences around football PSU will be left out in the cold in the coming years.....

    its gonna take some brilliant/mastermind behind the scenes manuevering, $, and luck to allow PSU to ever be relevant again in football in the next 15-25 years

    They kept their entire recruiting class right?

    There's something to be said for helping "rebuild" a program...especially one that really never was torn down.

    They'll have winning records, have too good of athletes.

    6-0, so are you saying he could lose the last 6 games? This will be the last year Penn State will be talked about in any type of winning season for the forseeable future. If he goes 12-0 this year, that will help him out, but an 0-12 could balance that off real quickly

    Just was judging by their schedule this year, 1st 6 games are for sure winnable, a few very tough ones after that though, so who knows.

    Just my opinion that they will not be having anything near as bad as 2 or 3 win seasons (much less 0-12, this is not SMU in the 80's), too many athletes are already there and they will continue to be competitive.

    Penn State will have more academic all americans on its roster in the future than football all americans. That's how far they will fall. Well, its currently like that, maybe 10-1 in the future ratio.

    No shame in losing to Ohio, they could be undefeated this year. PSU is prob gonna lose this year more often than not but o'brien seems like a good coach for the job thus far. Needs to motivate in the 2nd half a lot better though.

    I agree Penn State is in shambles and the transfers are far more significant than many realize. I do disagree that Ohio is a formidable foe for even an average Big team.

    Obrien needs a psych evaluation for going to and staying at Ped State. He would have been a HC in the NFL in another year. Now he is stuck at Ped State. He will be lucky if he goes .500 in any year. I don't see him being here for 100 games
