    I got Scammed by Oddsmaker.com

I want to make sure people know to stay away from oddsmaker.com. I received an email a few weeks about a 500 dollar free play offer. they had been bothering me for months to open an acocunt. a 500 dollar free play was too good to pass up. they told me it had a 5x rollover requirement and i cant make withdrawals for 30 days.

I turned the 500 into over 8k and then received a mean email from a manager there claiming i violated a rule and would forfeit all my winning! he said because my dad who has the same name opened an account and tried to get a similiar deal that i broke the rules. they thought i opened the account myself. My dad opened one and then emailed them to see if they would give him a free play as well.

Some jerk named tony stewart yelled at me and told me my acct was being closed as they dont want customers like me. He also sent me an email calling me a sore loser to boot as he put it. This was the most unprofessional experience i have ever had with a book.

So please anyone out there do not open an account with ODDSMAKER. They totally screwed me over. I wonder if i lost the 500 and they thought i opened a second acct for myself if they would have closed my account and not allowed me to deposit??

What a joke. Stay away from these guys.

it is 100 percent legit. they closed my account. i have copies of all my emails as well as my account balance before they closed my account. I have been using sportsbook.com for 10 years and besides slow pay issues never had a major problem. this experience is the worst ive seen. the vip host i spoke with actually called me a sore loser which makes no sense as I won! I was so pissed they wasted my time and energy. I worked hard to get that balance up.

Two accounts, same name, same household.

I do not think they will pay you.

Peep its not the same household. My dad has a different address than me. All he did was open an account for himself and email for a similiar bonus. why should i be penalized for that? makes no sense

The only way you should not get paid is if the bets were coming from the same IP address aka you opened an account in your dads name for the bonus, if you used the same IP its a lost cause drop it but if its legit as you say SBR might be able to help

The ip addresses are different. i do not live with my dad. oddsmaker is just trying to find way to discredit my winning.

agreed. i even called a vip host to clarify all the rules. I learned a valuable lesson not use a book that is rated low regardless of how strong the bonus is. I am a platinum member with sportsbook.com and never got treated like this. The guy that closed my account after i won 8400 called me a sore loser to boot?? such a joke. I hope SBR can help.

Thx alot. the thing that gets me the most is i stopped playing in my sportsbook account and just played in the oddsmaker account. Of course i get my first hot streak in a few months and its in an account that i may never get paid on. Had i ignored the bonus offer and stayed with sbook i would have had the streak in that account and been paid by now. I will stay with these posts for sure. wish i would have found them earlier.

Jimmy, did you deposit $500 and receive a matching $500 free play? From your post, seems like a $500 free play, no strings attached. Oddsmaker has a checkered history, problems abound: http://www.sportsbookreview.com/sbr/oddsmaker/

slicker it was not a matching bonus. it was a 500 free cash bonus. they put 500 in my account without me making a deposit. seemed too good to be true and it was. they also offered me a 100 percent match on my first deposit.

    Hi Jimmy,

Sorry to hear about your problem with Oddsmaker. They are known for creating reasons not to pay on their big bonuses and marketing promos. There have been some decision reversals in the past but more cases where the player is out of luck.

We will get back to your email tomorrow morning and let you know if we have questions.

at this point even if i never see the money i want them exposed for this crap. Dont want others to make same mistake. If nothing else i would like to be partly responsible for them getting downgraded to a F rating at SBR.

The OSGA? LMAO!! They are a scam outfit. Are they still saying BetOnSports is the safest and most secure sportsbook in the world? They get paid to promote scam books. Enough said.

Pokerplayer22, I know your story from your own thread on the subject, but please, please stop spamming other peoples' threads. If you want to continue to bump your own complaint thread, fine, at least then I can choose to ignore it. If you keep posting in others' legitimate complaint threads about other books, it's much harder to avoid. I'm sure you're upset about your own situation, but please try to limit where you post your Sportbet complaints.

I appologize, didnt mean to spam this thread. I just dont want people to make the same mistake i did and deposit with the crooks at sportbet. But I will leave this thread to Oddsmaker and not talk about how sportbet steals from its customers. Hopefully this guy will get paid from oddsmaker because if he were at other books (wont mention any names) he wouldnt get a dime and the book would just confiscate his money for no reason.

They are OK now. At one time it was very closely connected to BetOnSports. Maybe so close you could call them one and the same. But since BOS went under I think the OSGA has tried to play it straight.

Any progress towards settling this dispute?

Yes the OSGA seems to be making some Progress in settling this for me. They are working very hard for me. I tried to get SBR to help me but i never heard back after several emails. OSGA has been much more responsive. Jim with OSGA is really helping a lot. hoping to get some good news tomorrow.

wow wow wow.. I almost made a deposit with them about 1 year ago. They offered me a 100% deposit bonus up to $1K.. they continuously send me emails & coupons to my home & call me on the phone about their great initial dep bonus... very tempting.. I was going to make my 1st deposit of $2K with them.. But on my second thought, why are they offering so much for a bonus.. immediately I didn't feel right about this company... It's a scam.. No such.. This company located in Philippine...

lol the highest rating they ever got was C-. Back then, I had little money on my account but they didn't give a crap about it so the withdrawal process was fast..

I would not settle for any companies lower than A-..
