There are coaches you bet on in tournament type of situations and coaches you don't bet on.

You bet on seniors and you bet on very good seniors. Florida State is full of them, Vandy has 4 good seniors, and St Bonny has one of the best seniors in the country. They want to win their conference badly. They have been at the school 4 years and many times they are without a conference tourny championship.

Always look to bet a dog before looking to bet a favorite.

Any time a leading player is out for a favorite look to potentially fade that team. Many make the claim that the loss of the player is already built into the line, and that may be true, but the edge in a pressure situation is with the more experienced players when comparing to a backup who does not have many minutes over the course of a season. This is not the NBA where betting on teams without their star is usually a decent bet.

I'm just trying to learn here, boys! Keep trying to find those small edges!
