It always makes me feel good to see racing in somewhat of a tepid climate this time of year at a state where there are just a couple states between shivering your ass off in Minnesota and them.If you start out at the crack of dawn from the twin cities you can get there by 9 at night.

Is Oaklawn sort of losing it's luster as a major race track?That southern trip in the winter where you hit Tunica casinos,Memphis Southland greyhound racing and Branson for the old geezers along with golf,sightseeing.etc.sounds pretty appealing.Anyone here been there,done that?Mardi gras seems like a worthless cluster F to attend.
