Do SBR brass get mad at people free rolling them?

Not free rolling in the traditional sense. I mean by people building up a stock pile of point before going pro. I plan on going pro today and have 6639 points and feel like a bit of a cheeky oyster. Personally, I have had a good amount of points for a while so its not like I've been waiting in the bushes for this moment. I primarily come to this forum to discuss MMA, infact, for a long time I didn't even know what the points were used for.

If they don't like it maybe they could introduce some sort of roll over before people can spend them.

I hate to tell you this bogbat but I'm sort of like the sbr tax man. Every person who turns pro with over 5000 pts has to send me 500.

Apparently not as they control the rules?

Although I do remember seeing some very high limit (100K?) when I renewed so I guess however many are being taken with those becoming pro isn't viewed as that big of a deal or the limit would be lower...

    Fine-print

SBRforum.com is an international website. SBRforum is not responsible for informing users of legalities relating to wagering activity in their specific jurisdiction.

The PRO program is annual. Membership must be renewed in 12 months. A renewal reminder will be sent 30 days prior to membership expiring.

After becoming SBR Pro, a Non-Pro whose balance exceeds 25,000 betpoints will be reset to exactly 25,000.

Is this a rule a new addition? I recall a guy who wasn't a pro hitting a 65k point parlay a few months back.

It's a couple of months old. I don't think the poster who hit the big parlay even cashed out much, if at all. Don't quote me on that though.

Other than what onlooker so kindly posted, the other important part of the FAQ's in situations like this is:

Points distributed through the forum are intended for contributors of the SBR community. Posters who sign in or post once per day for the sole purpose of getting points will not receive loyalty points. Posters are not entitled to points, points will be awarded at the discretion of SBRforum. Posters that register multiple accounts may lose point access on one or both accounts at the discretion of SBR.

You, darling boggy, are a solid contributor for almost 2 years and the 2nd clause doesn't apply to you. You've accumulated points throughout your time here and are now turning Pro (yay!! - great idea!) Nothing wrong with that at all. You might want to hit up the slots in the Casino a few times before you go Pro though... I heard dreams come true in there

Yes, you can renew with 5Dimes provided you have $200+ cash in there (not freeplays, etc). As always though, rules are subject to change. Not saying they will but I don't want people quoting this post should they ever do in the future.

Guess I should have looked it up before quoting the rule as the memory seems to be failing me in my old age...

Not being enforced since they removed the points for posting? I seen cases where long-gone posters still log in and collect points and haven't posting in years...

It's enforced. Points are essentially worthless until someone hits the store so even though we might not be currently doing a mass sweep this week, everyone is still reviewed thoroughly when they go to cash out... hence the F U SBR threads and hate mail we so enjoy

It's not fair for those who contribute to the forum on a regular basis if someone spends 3 seconds a day logging in to collect their points and then jets... we're aware of that. And so are they when it comes to purchase time

    cheeky bugger

The removal of the posting requirement in order to receive daily points was a great thing in certain aspects as it removed the senseless posts and the forum is still as busy as ever: Most users ever online was on 11/7 of this year.

But it also opens the forum up a bit to those who don't have the most pure reasons for being here. Fortunately it's quite easy to tell who is an active, loyal participant to the forum and who isn't just from reviewing someone's history with the forum. The people that are here because they enjoy SBR and the points are just an added perk to that are very easy to discern from those looking to score some stuff out of the store and that's it.

I don't understand why people stockpile points as a non-pro and then finally go pro once they have a lot. They would have saved themselves a lot of time by just going pro in the first place..

Shari Ill take you calling me a cheek bug as a compliment.

Seriously though, I love that SBR did away with the first post thing. Seeing "good luck with your plays" or some two word post everyday was getting ridiculous and has helped promote a better posting experience imho.

We monitor point build ups closely

SBR Bikes have been flying out of here, IPADS also

I will never forget when some guy ordered an IPAD like a month ago and Walker ripped his monitor out of the wall and through it across the room..no I did not witness it but Sam told me
