missing the good old days of BTP

3-1 +2.9 units used to be worth $50+ and good for a top 50, now it's about a $4 freeplay and good for over 200th place...

gives everyone more motivation for those end of the year prizes though, since the weekly stuff is pretty non-important

best of luck with your contest plays and bets everyone

I'm having a huge party on Tuesday placing my $4 freeplay. And if it hits I'm buying an extra 12 pack for the occasion!

Before the US re attacked the industry we had a LOT of sponsors. See how many we have this year? 0, as in none. We will still dole out over $55,000 to keep it the best on the net.

Keep in mind prick beaters split 50,000 points a week BUT Pro's are paid double.

    No complaints from me.

We are playing for 5K-----no rollover, just 5K cash. You can't possibly beat that deal.

    Thanks for the point shari

I take my shots at SBR but this is something unreal they are offering. They also put up $10,000 for the WSOP...they are putting up another person's salary for all their contests/prizes...show me what another site has to offer in comparison

Only complaint, actually a suggestion, I'd have is the winner gets paid TOO much. Isn't over $5,000 the iffy part of cashing a check? I know when I did ACHs from neteller from a poker win back in the day theyd sent me $4,999. Not that I am going to win, but maybe the winner should get $4,000 and 2000 points

It is sad when "free" is just not good enuff anymore. The problem with USA in a nutshell. Thanks SBRJohn and staff for overseeing more free giveaways. I am looking for EV at every turn these days.

If its free...it's for ME !!!!!

Is it as good as when it was cold, hard cash? No.

Is it as good when it was money that had to rolled over in a sportsbook? No.

Is it a helluva better than nothing? And way better than anything "across the street"? You're damn right it is!!!!

    Thanks, SBR !!!!!

What John Does is why I support SBR with my "Pro Membership". I had poor CS at 5dimes last year after Depositing $4-5k. I have been playing mostly at a non SBR sponsor book since then because of how they treat me as a player. My new book is not rated the best with SBR, but they take care of ME. I feel what SBR offers is close the same. I get great Customer Service and know the people who I am dealing with. I get great remarkable return on what I invest with SBR. I had been debating if I should deposit more with with a SBR Sponsor, and if it was worth it. It is a no brainer just from what I get back from SBR. I have no problem supporting the site. Everyone has their opinion and mine is that SBR is well worth the money to be "PRO".

Keep doing what you do John, we appreciate it. Yeah, it's not what it was, but that is out of SBR's control. If things change, I am sure SBR will be as great as it was before the crackdown.

I will take my $4 free play and invest in RR's 100k open parlay!

john i meant no disrespect so i hope you didn't take this thread as an attack on btp, it's an awesome contest. you are in a tough business, and almost everything you do is the right way and with a lot of class.

3-0-1 gets me a 60th place, tough but seems like there are way to many Ghosts or something! Anyways not SBR's fault, I enjoy the contests that you guys at SBR put on for us! FBT

The ghosts are there to increase the total units won and dilute the winnings of the real posters. SBR is running a business..it's not Red Cross.
