agreed. That Beltran trade looks like a bust more and more every day. They should have waited till next year (with Posey back) to make a push.

    Beltran is a fukking bum....

Trade for him, and within a month he is on the DL.

It's amazing how many Giants pitchers have ERAs in mid to low 3's and under - and barely .500 records. Sabean has proven completely inept at putting offenses on the field. They caught lightening in a bottle last year ... otherwise the guy doesn't deserve the job.

I have always been a Giants fan. Only sports team that I follow and love.
The only reason I see why the Giants traded Wheeler for Beltran was that Beltran was hitting well, and they only had to pay 2.5mil for him for the rest of the year. Also after this year he his contract is up, so he will go to free agency and the Giants will pick up 2 first round picks.
If the Giants decide to resign Beltran, they are screwed. Beltran's agent is Boras, so he will be getting way too much money. If the Giants do sign Beltran, I will probably stop following because i'm tired of them making big signing for crappy players (Zito, Rowand).

They did catch magic in a bottle last year.

Buster Posey being out has really has hurt them. And Beltran has been of no benefit, at all...

giants last year were the worst team to win the world series in the last 20 years. surpassing the '06 cardinals

the flaw in that stat is that it's based on regular season records

the giants have three or four good to great starting pitchers so they're much better equipped to win in the postseason than a lot of other teams that have been through

The Giants were such a fluke last year. But they did beat the best team (Phillies) in a 7-game series, and their shitty lineup of scrubs had more clutch hits in about 1/2 the opportunities than the Phillies all-star studded lineup had.

I think the Phillies choked like a bitch as much as the Giants outclutched them.

You'd be hard-pressed to think of a more bitch-like performance than what the Phillies offensive lineup produced in the NLCS. They should have to wear ball-gags to the plate for the first round of this postseason.

100% correct. Philly fans make excuses but the reality is that the giants had nerves of steel and better pitching and clutch hitting. I still think the phillies will find a way to choke again this year.

It'll be a travesty to the whole league if the best team in baseball (maybe of all time) does not win the title this year

What a disaster that their ace gets dominated by the SCRUBS. And worse yet, their offense is ghost against terrible pitcher in Wells.

How often does the team with the best overall record win the championship in baseball? I guess all the other teams that didn't are chokers too. The Phillies had the most wins last year and ran into a fluke of a team that was hot at the right time. It happens, doesn't mean they choked.
