    Scoring: -110 is risking 1.10 to win 1.00 and +110 is risking 1.00 to win 1.10 and so on.

    when you are betting on 12-year olds, sometimes they play like 12-year olds. shortstop found this out yesterday, on the ouchie side of a -475 loss. however i suppose he has earned the right to whiff every now and then, as evidenced by the fact that he didn't even lose a spot in the rankings, still holding strong at #2.

    many new players starting to come around, the more the merrier. welcome to AlwaysDrawing and jackskin, whose name creeps me out for some reason.

    finally, as you can see, double day threads for the time being, until i either get accustomed to dragging hard in the afternoons or tired of grading 40 plays at once.

    again, please make sure as the threads start to overlap that when you post your play and record, that you let me know if you updated your record or not. i don't care either way, just add an 'updated record' if you do. thanks.

    yeah, i've just always copy/pasted the rules the way SS had 'em, dunno why there's a -500/+500 cutoff.

    the other thing would be that your record will be 2-0-0 +2.0 when i grade, right? the -500 bet would be betting 5 units to win 1, not 1 to win .2

    what you are doing is picking one game a day. post your name, record, your pick and what book you got the line from. just 1 game, can be any sport, any derivative, whatever, just no parlays. if you are betting a favorite, you're betting to win 1u. if you're betting an underdog, you're betting 1u.

    boston red sox -103 (sbgglobal)

    everything is pretty well explained in the OP, though if you have any questions obviously we'll figure it out.

    unless you repost a pick, i guess i'm not going to count any of your above picks, as there are 3 of them and i don't know which one is your 'best bet'.

    firstly, i can definitely act like a 5 year old, i just don't do it in this thread. mostly out of respect to shortstop, who was ridiculously courteous and awesome in dealing with everyone here for so long. also to kinda give back to the forum here. if the guy running the thread was a dickhead constantly, the thread probably would die...

    next, this thread is just for 'bragging rights'. no points, no money, just people posting their pick of the day. i've been here less than a year, but it's been running for nearly 4. it's an sbr staple.

    lastly, normally it's terribly faux pas to post an expired line. the line you get is the line at the time of your post at the book you designate. that way, i can occasionally check it on the sbrodds page if something looks goofy. however seeing how you're new, seems to be getting into what we're doing here, and (perhaps most importantly) you can still get -107 at pinny which is only 4 cents off your bet, i'll let you roll with it just this once.
