    Sites Like SBR Dwindle in Value

    Disclaimer: This is for US customers if you are not one it will probably not register with you.

    Point A:Let's be honest your sportsbook reviews really don't matter when all the books you are reviewing are currently mediocre at best. The books that were truly excellent are all out of the US market after BetJamaica and the Greek joined Pinny.

    Point B: Considering SBR offers such a weak product in ratings because all the books they can rate are books you should be highly skeptical of, they must offer something else.

    What is SBR's something else? They offer a sportsbook which is okay. It is only okay because ever getting anything tangible from the sportsbook requires for you to post up with one of these books you should be skeptical of through the PRO Program. Simply put the depature of the 3 best books from the US market have weakend the already weak outlet of the Pro Program even further.

    What else do they offer? Free contest that you can turn into freerolls to try these places you are skeptical about. Hmm, those contest have become much less frequent around here as SBR has went a different route, they would be smart to bring them back more often if they want to continue to exist and somewhat strive.

    In conclusion, the need for sites like SBR is just as much at its end as the online gaming industry for US customers. Who cares what rating you give to grade B books, at best that's all we have left. Who cares about a Pro Program that requires you to post up to a book you are skeptical of? Who cares about your points if you have to post up to some grade B book to ever get anything tangible from the points? On the bright side, if you check the other major sites they are in no better shape than SBR, they could still dominate the dwindling market for there services with a few tweaks. The need for these type of sites are dwindling though and that is without doubt. Not one of these type of sites gave us a heads up and the shocking depature of 2 of the best books in Jamaica and the Greek today.

    Even if you just burned the $200 it is still worth it to be a pro.

    SBR knows they have to go in a different direction now they can try to be a top book, casino, and poker room instead of reviewing them.

    the majority of traffic on this site isnt to read a stupid review about a sportsbook... most people can figure out what books are good/bad just by talking to their friends ...


    this site is the largest FORUM where people interact with eachother and discuss picks / sporting events/ wagering options / handicapping methods/ and most importantly a place for people who really know their sports to discuss --- sports. in turn, we get leans and very important insight from people into different events and no matter what , at the end of the day that is SBR's core activity.

    the betpoints, SBR sportsbook, casino, and now poker are just bonus's for people to have a chance to win stuff and get additional excitement or whatever...

    but at the end of the day this forum is the best tool i've seen thus far to explore/ add to my knowledge of a certain game before pulling the trigger on a pick.

    a bunch of pussies complaining about SBR not being able to change their diapers anymore wont change the value of the site. like i said, from a marketing standpoint, SBR's core competencies are its forum and sportsbook review, and as long as gambling exists (it always will), there will be business here. so people need to stop crying like babies and deal with the situation.

    I would have agreed with you if this were 2009

    since betpoints were brought to the table...the site was filled with scammers...stiffs...wannabe sportsbooks managers using points...leechers using betpoints as income...you get the picture

    I could name 10 posters that used to post plays daily in players talk....high % plays

    not in 2011 on SBR though
