Do you not see the obvious problem this will create? What's to stop someone from open shoving 500 points 5x's to get quick folds at the small buy in tables?
Please let me know when you are going to try this...I'd love to be at the table.

Yes you can go all in to try to get through your rollover. You can also get called and lose it all. It will be fun and thats what its all about.

As far as US guys playing and winning or losing in real money games; the US guy starts with loyalty points and he is free to try to run them up. The key is he never bought anything. If he loses he will have lost nothing so he did not really gamble...he simply participated in a loyalty program.

If you plan on poker rollover, there better be tourneys on weekends and SnGs all the time. Ring games really suck when you're on a shit streak and SnGs lets people play comfortably while earning rollover.

Being able to buy points will make it more fun. You clean a guy out in open play poker and he decides to come at you again and reups...more action.

We discussed this dynamic a lot. Let's see how it plays out. I think the experienced players will be licking their chops at the thought of someone trying to sneak through a roll over and grab a couple of 5 point blinds with an all-in bluff.

I would be more concerned with this scenario for poker rollovers. Pavy and JJ earned 500 points playing poker in a tourney. They go to the ring tables after joining a chat room. They proceed to play by themselves while discussing each others hands on chat until they both rollover 5X their 500 points by equally losing and winning the same amount of hands. Sure they will lose some small rake but they will roll it over in 5 minutes or less.

Yes of course. If for any reason you did not get yours please PM Lou.

Pavy, could happen. Just like betting on red to get through a casino rollover. If we see anyone breaking collusion rules we will reserve the right to limit their participation in SBR poker. I think it will be fine but we will adapt as needed.

lets say you come in 15th in BTP. Let's say it pays 2,000 points. You will be required to wager 5x or 10,000 points before you can haul them into the store.

Over 90% of you guys play way more than 5x anything you win around here. This rule nips at the ultimate angle shooter who wants to supplement his food budget with pizza.

effing stupid. why in the world would I want to donate $200 to SBR when I could deposit it in a book that I currently use. No point in going with a sponsored book when it makes sense to go with a book I have used for years and have no problem with.

    EPIC FAIL by SBR.

The folks around here would rat you two out quickly. Point fraud detectives love that shit. You might get away with it every now and again, but you'd be caught. Posters have too much time on their hands.

why would someone donate 200 to a charity when they can put it in a book to gamble. Id like to see who does this over a book

Not that Im against charities , its just that most charities are in peoples names for a reason. There will never be a cure for cancer or athritis simply because they aren't even looking, but they will take your money

I understand you've been here before the points, so you're obviously not just one of the non-pros who signed up just to get "free" points to gamble with here, because they are too broke to gamble real money. 12 X 365 = 4XXX Now that is what PRO'S get for points. Amazon gift card is 1050 or so points. 4200 points for 200 worth of gift cards. It costs 200 to become a pro, there is no restriction on that 200 you deposit, it's just your money to gamble with like usual. BUT now you are also receiving 200 dollars in gift cards just for gambling your own money that you'd be gambling anyways. Whoa, there is actual perks to becoming a PRO. So don't say points mean nothing.
Where in my post did I even mention the value of the points? I said I dont have the need for a new book and personally don't care about the points.
I also never criticized anyone for being a pro, there's no reason to.
My point was simply to take a shot at the posters who talk about a "PRO" status like its an elite club.

The US posters who are whinging at SBR about no free plays and not being able to buy points - take that up with your government... its not an SBR call! Either that or move into the free world (Canada, UK, Australia, NZ, even Mexicans can gamble without government intervention).
