No one has to like what she said, if you want to debate the content of what she said, that is fine. Unfortunately thats not whats happening here.
Instead, A bunch of men have decided that because she is the wife of a player, she should "know her role and place" and that "Without Steph, she'd be nothing", these are sexist statements whether you recognize them as such or not. And they're both in line with SAS's comments about Ayesha.
Steph doesn't make Ayesha who she is anymore or less than she makes him who he is.
