7-Unit Play. #605. Take Under 165 Seattle vs. Phoenix (Friday @ 10pm est)

The higher this gets we are ok with it. As you know we have a pull and wait philosophy when it comes to basketball where we continue to release 3-unit selections mostly and then when our spreadsheets firm up we keep rolling with step-outs and we have done that consistently for success. After all, even though we have won 5 days in a row in the NBA (+$1500), we have yet to step-out in any of the selections as we sit at +$4200 on the season there. In College Ball, we finished with +$7300 for a combined +$42,000 between both sports for the last 3 full seasons which is #1 in the country. We go for a 4-1 start to the season (+$970) with a step-out today as we were pleased with the 2-0 on Wednesday with both overs. Some other leans are on Washington and Atlanta/Indiana Over. But we roll with the Under here as Seattle gave up an incredible number of points in a blowout loss to the Sparks. The Sparks let the Storm's top draft pick Stewart know that there is a different level of competition here in the pros than there was in college as she suffered her first loss in ages after playing in UConn and winning 4 straight National Championships. Seattle comes into this game as only a 11 point underdog which is a bit surprising considering they were just blown out by 30 at LA. Note, that game went over 152 and because that game went to 162, this game's total has been placed as high as 165. But, you have a Seattle team that comes off a horrendous defensive performance giving up 96 points and this young team likely has its jitters in check now. Plus, what do the Phoenix Mercury think coming out as flat as they did and starting the year 0-2? This is a team that had a tough start to the season giving up 97 and 95 points to Indiana and Minnesota in their first two respective games. Look for Phoenix to boucne-back defensively here at home, look for Seattle to focus on defense, we like that this total is low as it favors the underdog and the under here which is rare but Seattle is one of those rare teams that follow that model - and note the Under is 4-0-1 for the Mercury following a straight up loss and the Under is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings between these two teams in Phoenix.
