Clowney is a career All star NFL player, blue chipper no lose prospect unlike the skill position guys who are generally a bigger roll of the dice. How may high picks have been wasted on diva WR's, mediocre easily replacable RB's, or even bust QB', although the potential upside to drafting a future Manning, Bray, Brees, make it a more justified gamble. I say draft for defense and O linemen, the rest takes care of itself.
And btw Connor Shaw is a second stringer at best. Listen to how "The Old Football Coach" Spurrier half ass endorses his prospects. I bet he telling his NFL buddies something similar...good kid, can run, but will never lead a team into the playoffs with that arm.
