John mentioning "at least a 5% increase on some items" seemed pretty obvious to me that it really meant a lot more than a 5% increase, and likely on everyhting. I spent all my 10,000 points two days ago before the inflation.

Here's his actual words: "The SBR store will raise prices in the store on selected items after the NFL Superbowl. The total increase will average 4-4.5%." Not sure how you got a lot more than 5% on everything out of 4-4.5% on selected items. Some of us were actually expecting John's own words to be an accurate gauge of the increases.
