Hindsight is 20/20. Going to Afghanistan was necessary. We had to respond to being attacked. The problem was going to Iraq. That took the focus off the mission in Afghanistan, and has kept us there much longer than we should have been. In hindsight, it would have been best to leave Iraq alone. WMD's were never found, and I wouldn't have put it past Saddam to have let the idea of him having them just be a rumor to keep Iran out of his kitchen.
