I made 1 Super Bowl Future Bet, and It Is >>>

    JACKSONVILLE +2000

First of all, I honestly think that New England is the best team in football, and that they will beat every other team in the NFL besides Jacksonville by double-digits (Yes, that means you too Peyton...LOL). I think the Jags are the only team capable of staying close to the Pats, and if they do somehow pull off the upset, I am getting 20-1 for virtually one game (vs. NE), and could then hegde a little bit vs. Indy in the AFC Championship Game. Assuming Colts are around -200 on the ML, I would bet to win back my original bet, effectively giving me 18-1 with no risk. THEN, if the Jags upset Indy, I would do nothing and basically count my cash, as I don't see Dallas or Green Bay as a threat to them.

hmm.. interesting ... very interesting. Okay so I agree Jacksonville is on a run recently and seem to be playing good solid football as the season progresses. Seems like good RB always get better as the season goes on.

So, where are you placing your future bets btw ?

Do you have Jacksonville to make the superbowl or to win outright?

JV 20-1 to make SB; 35-1 to win it (Cris/Book). I'm on JV also at 20-1 to make it there.

This is a VERY good value bet as the Jags are capable of making it to the bowl 3 or 4 times out of 20 (all things the same) IMO.

Reposting my thoughts from another thread:

The Jags really are the only team that have the 'formula' for championships in the 'longshot' category, or have the most.

Defense (some big injuries, but good depth) - Check
    Running game - Check PLUS
    Playmakers - Check
    Consistent QB - Check
    Turnover prevention - Check
Turnover potential on D - Check
Special teams - Meh (inconsistant kicker)

If they can keep the gas on and close out strong, there's good value in those odds. But getting past NE or Indy and then possibly NE or Indy? Yikes.

    LT,

I really like the bet bud... I think that the Jags will go to New England and beat them... However, after the Jags beat the Patriots, they will be higher than a kite, will be talking all big and bad about how they are finally gonna take out the Colts and then just totally crash! Honestly, I hope that the Jags don't beat New England just because I want the Colts to go to Foxboro and beat them when they are 17-0! We shall see, but I really think that the Jags or Colts will get the best of New England, just because the AFC South is the best division in football now... I think we will lay down against Tennessee on Sunday and 3 teams will make the playoffs from our division!

I actually think the Super Bowl is going to be Jacksonville and Tampa. I wonder what kind of odds I can get on that.

Jags are nothing more than a good team, they are not great and their defense will not be able to stop the Pats

Actually, pretty much every future bet is close to being at least breakeven if not profitable EXCEPT the pats, considering how inflated the line for the Pats is.

Let me take a crack at that one...

Good choice to represent the AFC...and i'll respect it. So I guess I'll be the first to say the Packers will defend the NFC. Don't think the Patriots or the Cowboys will impress us even with their home-field advantage..and I'll say it now...Packers 27-AFC?17!!!!

the NFL would never stand for the small market Jags to play in a superbowl. The refs will make sure they don't

First of all it was a joke, secondly the superbowl will never ever be held in Jacksonville again because it was a disaster, too small.

Now all of those jokes aside the bigger joke would be if the jags played in the superbowl, not going to happen.

The SB futures I see right now are all losers. The built-in juice is insane. Better off betting individual MLs for the playoff games.
