The Bengals started the season slow with Burrow coming off an ACL injury and Chase being a rookie, but the Bengals finished the season strong. The Bengals didn't care about the final game of the season that meant nothing to them so they rested starters, but they won the final 3 games of the regular season and they have won the last 6 games that mattered. The Bengals are on a 6 game winning streak throwing out the meaningless game they didn't play starters against in the final game of the regular season. The Bengals last loss in a meaningful game was to San Francisco in a game they outplayed the 49ers but fumbled twice and lost by 3.
The Bengals had to adjust to teams doubling Chase after his big games early in the year, but the Bengals have adjusted and found ways to get him the ball, they've gotten Higgins more involved, and Mixon has played a bigger role as a runner and receiver too. The Bengals offensive line is mediocre, but they've been fine in every game during the winning streak except for the Titans game, when the Bengals were on the road against an elite pass rush. The Bengals offensive line was also solid against a very strong 49er defensive line in the regular season, when Burrow threw for over 300 yards and completed over 65 percent of his passes. The Rams pass rush is solid, but the Rams have almost zero home advantage, Stafford had to use the silent count in the NFC championship game while Garappollo did not. Crowd noise shouldn't be an issue for the Bengals at all, and their offensive line played well on the road against a solid Chiefs pass rush too, Burrow also moves well in the pocket for a pocket quarterback.
The Rams haven't been able to put a complete game together other than the Arizona game. Even against a 49er team with a very weak secondary Stafford needed the 49ers to drop a very easy interception in the 4th quarter to complete the comeback. Stafford is not an elite quarterback, and he couldn't win a playoff game with the best receiver in football and a solid defense in Detroit for years. He was also very inconsistent against good defenses this year.
The pressure is all on the Stafford and the Rams. The Bengals season is already a success and they are a young team. Burrow has also played his best in big games going to back to college. The Bengals also have some additional edges since they have the far better kicker in Mcpherson, with Gay struggling to kick from long range and looking like he's dealing with an injury.
