This day in 1987, NFL players strike

    NFL players voted to strike

    Lasted 24 days

Replacement teams were used for 3 games LOL

What a mess that was, anyone remember those scabs?

Still remember the Redskins' scabs beating the Cowboys, who had about ten regulars including about seven starters, on MNF.

Joe Gibbs was always a step ahead of the competition.

I think I remember reading somewhere those 1987 scab Redskins got Super Bowl rings

Mike Hohensee (ex-Golden Gopher coach) was a Scab-Bears QB also.

A few sharps would go to the airport and as passengers were exiting the plane, they would ask them for their local newspaper that they brought with them on the plane, to see what the local sports page was saying about their teams.
