Go get Foles. Maybe he can take Wentz' job with another team.

Although me and Phillyguy had some fun Wentz/Goff e-battles I think we can both agree that our respective teams are better off today.

Tried to be optimistic. Tried to ignore the inner rage and utter disgust but now it is all validated. My god. I’m not even a pro athlete but I could manage to go out with no contact and throw a football in basketball shorts, cleats, a fukking helmet and not get hurt.

Taking over for an injured Carson Wentz is pretty much Nick Foles' forte. Get him in there and watch him light it up and then the fans clamor for Foles.

I still don’t see why Wentz’s name even comes up anymore. Probably one of the worst quarterbacks in the league now. No way is he the answer In Indy, just like he wasn’t the answer in Philly. Colts won’t make the playoffs with him any year he is their starter. Coaches don’t make players, players make coaches. Reich will lose his job or get rid of Wentz before he loses his job.

Who are the backups?? They were going to play one way or the other because he was going to get hurt or play poorly.

He SHOULD come back, Brock. Do it one more time.

Some people take shots at Rivers. But the talent was there. And his fortitude in the AFC title game at New Eng is in the top tier of courageous performances.

Guy played on blown out knees at New Eng. Came up short, largely b/c Tomlinson was unavailable. If Chargers had won, Rivers' performance would be on par w/ Jack Youngblood, maybe higher.

Well Wentz is better than those guys. Not much better, but indeed better. He needs to play so that the Colts can lose most of their games.

Rivers one of my all time favorite NFL players. I get it he didn't win the Superbowl but the guy was tough as nails.

    8-9

wait for the appropriate opponents (capable QB's) and fade em... even with defense and run game helping out they will falter late in games and get their butts whipped in the 4th

seattle and rams to start and at home ... colts couldn't even start 1-0 last season when the NFL tossed them the Jags in week 1. Jags won... only to go 0-15 after

Foles told reporters at a Monday press conference that he knows “there’s a lot of talk out there” and said he feels he’s better than the third-string role he’s in with Chicago. Foles said that there were some overtures during the offseason, but they didn’t come at the right time for something to come together.

He also shared what he’s looking for in the event the Bears do deal him and he put going to a place with familiar faces at the very top of the list.

“I don’t want to go to someone that I don’t know,” Foles said. “When you have a great coaching staff, you have something special. Big reason we were great in Philly was we had a great coaching staff. It put us in position to succeed. . . . I don’t want to just go somewhere where I don’t know them, I don’t know the offense. I’ve gone down that road before and it’s not fun.”

One of Foles’ coaches when he won the Super Bowl MVP in Philly was current Colts head coach Frank Reich and Reich announced that Foles’ former Eagles teammate Carson Wentz will miss 5-12 weeks after having foot surgery earlier on Monday.

Foles called Reich “one of my favorite, if not my favorite, coaches of all time” and said that Reich “knows me” after working with him in the wake of Wentz’s torn ACL in 2017. Foles said he’s a “much better” version of himself than he was at that point, but there’s been no clear signs from Indianapolis that this version will get another chance to fill in for an injured Wentz this season.

Obviously he's angling and wants to go to Indy. I think Indy is stalling to assess over the next week or so to see if they think Eason can handle it or not. If they bring Foles in it would be to start until Wentz is ready. But I'm sure they'd rather do it in-house if they think it won't be a disaster.
