Last week I heard no defense could shut down GB. In ‘99, I heard no defense could shut down StL. In ‘02, it was no defense could shut down Oak.

What do they all have in common? The Bucs pass rush. When you can get to the passer and rattle them, you can shut anyone down, and some of those offenses above were hailed as better than KC.

I’d give DL to TB. They gave Rodgers hell yesterday and have Vea back. That’s huge. Vea is one of best lineman in NFL. Also would give
LB edge to TB...Barrett, David and White is one of best units in league.

If I’m Tampa, I’m worried about Hill and that fast pace offense. They torched the Bucs with Hill earlier this season. He’s just hard to contain. If Whitehead is out, that’s a major blow to the Bucs secondary. Winfield should be back. His injury wasn’t too serious. Still, I just don’t know if they can stop Hill.

If I’m KC, I’m worried about the pass rush of Tampa, especially with their LT out. The Bucs played the Chiefs close in Nov because they got to Mahomes in the second half and that was with a healthy OL and a Bucs DL without Vea. If Brady doesn’t throw that INT in the third, the Bucs prolly win that game.

Yup. I prolly won’t bet thee line bc Im a Bucs fan and never bet on or against my team. I look at props instead. But if I was an outsider, I’d lean Tampa. I also said, though, I’d lean NO vs Tampa and thought GB ML was the play yesterday. Didn’t think Bucs would win. I did bet Scotty Miller over 25.5 yards receiving and 1H over and won it all on one play haha.

I do think it’s a good matchup for Tampa. Not saying they’re gonna win, but the teams they struggled Against this year were teams like the Rams and Saints, teams that bring DL pressure. The KC D isn’t the kind of D that will shut down the Bucs. Brady and the offense should be able to score some points and I think the Bucs DL can get to #15.

Great write up. That 99 Bucs D shut the greatest show on turf down good. Rams were putting up 31, 35, 42 on everybody that season and what did they get that game, 13 iirc. Damn that's a perfect example that anybody can get shutdown if they did. KC O isn't anywhere near as good as that 99 Rams O. HOFers all over QB, RB, top 2 WRs. This game is still damn hard to pick. This is one of the best SB matchups of last 20 years. I think KC is a fg better on a neutral field. This isn't a neutral field like it's supposed to be in a SB.
