Will never happen. Cam will never start another season in the NFL. He may start a few games for a desperate team until they see he is washed up. He will never make a good backup QB either because his ego will never allow him to hold a clipboard.

Everyone: The Patriots have no cap space to sign anyone.

Also Everyone: The Patriots should sign Cam Newton and trade for a big-time WR.

Belichick will deal with troublemakers at most positions if they'll help him win, but QB is not one of them. He wants a team guy first.

Billy does know better. But I can see it.

If he wants to prove he was the reason the Patriots were winning and not Brady, taking a QB like Cam with all the physical talents and turning it into a successful system would be good evidence.

If he signs Cam then we'll know his ego is really big.

If Chargers can somehow get confirmation Cam is healthy they should sign him and make him the starter. Unless they are going to move up and to take Tua, I don’t see how they can go into season with Taylor at qb. Herbert is not worth taking at 6. I don’t see him as anything special at pro level. Either grab a LT, Simmons or Okuduh depending on who is available. They got a rt in baluga and to get to sb you will have to get by KC at some point. Why not have a dominant secondary? Simmons and James would be a dc dream to use.

Buff should look at Cam too. Allen is not good. They have to look at Jax and Chi and see how trusting a bad draft pick at qb can kill your team.

Cam is not going to want to be a backup and teams that might want him don’t have cap space.

I want to see Jameis sign with them. Pats will free up space with a deal or trade of thuney to lower his cap number. Gilmore, Hightower and cannon might get deals redone. Hightower could get cut or traded as crazy as it sounds. Only 2.5 out of 12.5 mil in dead money in last year of deal.

What if Bill wants tua and offers det picks and say Hightower?

Cam lacks "the fire" inside to be great these day's. His time is basically over. He will be zero impact in the league if he continues.

There a better chance of Tom Brady coming back than Cam "no fire inside" Newton playing for Big Bill!

Doesn't matter if Cam and Bill fell in love and wanted to be together in N/E, the Patriots don't have the cap space to sign him without screwing with their whole roster.

Cam will probably be in LA or Miami, depending on how the draft unfolds.
