    Jon Gruden Completely Deflecting...

Some talks he may be interested in the Giants head coaching vacancy...

He laughed about it on air....Then was offered 3500/1 odds that he would coach the Giants...

    Completely changed the subject...

    Is this possible???

I can see him doing a Dick Vital type comeback but only with a team that has all the pieces on D (he can create offense).

I wouldn't be surprised to see him look into Miami in a year or two...Tannenhill back. Solid D, Florida weather and tons of $$

Seriously doubt he leaves his fat cushy ESPN gig. Every year someone rummered to be trying to lure him back and he still there. Anything possible tho, just don't think incredibly likely.

If he was to ever come back which I kinda doubt I think would be with a team with a young talented qb cause he never really had one and I'm sure a offensive guy like him would love to get a shot with a stud qb instead of the rich gannon, Brad Johnson types he was cursed with! Lol

Espn is so cushy.. He's been out so long why penetrate with it now? He's untouchable.. They've got rid of all their other talent.

This play by play guy is a penetrating drip

Long as they have mon night football he safe. Every year we hear all these rumors and still he sitting in same spot. Like I said anything possible but doesn't seem very likely to me.

Espn's highest paid employee.. probably has a non compete in his employment contract which forces him to deflect. They can fire him with reason if he engages in that sort of nonsense

no kidding, they basically get like 6 weeks off maybe, other than that working 100+ hours a week, sleeping at the office on a shitty couch, flying all over the place albeit first class but still... couldn't imagine leaving that comfy booth making millions to go back to that

    These guys are adrenaline junkies.

Look at Parcells, Coughlin, Lebeau, Carrol, etc

Live breath eat sleep football. Everyone has a vice, we don't know what Gruden does or how his family is set up but yes, he will be taking one more monster NFL payday sometime in the future. Money too good.

Gruden is getting ridiculous paycheck for what he does, something like $6.5 million, and he knows it.

I'd be surprised if he left that to coach again, unless that paycheck dried up.

Clearly he doesn't miss it that much, dude been away for what 7 years and turns down chances every single year! Think you overestimating his desire to have a crappy job that takes a endless amount of work, plenty of ways to get that fix without wasting your life working. Why do that when you already set up with more money than ya need??

You know, not to start the rumor mill here, but SEC schools are paying 10 years 80 million.

Both Gruden and his wife went to, coached or are from University of Tennesee...

...just saying. Jon and Peyton team up??

Never because the Giants are the declinning organization he doesn’t want a team that’s going 5–11 every year

Gruden would never go back to college coaching unless he was one of the top 3 in salary. Guaranteed.

Gruden has a lot of pride... and he wouldn't want to downgrade himself coaching college kids. It's just who he is. Loves the NFL.

Factor in the time.... and pay.... and then taxes.

That's why he'd rather have the ESPN job... unless they want to give him a pay cut or something???

Funniest thing is... ESPN got rid of so many people... Gruden is actually one of the strongest color commentators around. Kind of made a name for himself... if ESPN doesn't want him... there's always CBS and FOX.

Probably won't ever coach football again.

Probably being soft and avoiding everything because he didn't want ESPN to give his job away to someone else.

If you breathe the wrong way on LIVE TV nowadays... you could lose your job.

$6 mil to work 16 days a year, no NFL team can compete with that. I guess if someone offered up $10-12 million he might.

Eventually ESPN won't resign him and then we will see.
