**jaguars apologize to military for being disrespectful

watch these nfl owners trip over themselves going the other direction once they realized their wallets were taking a hit

"This was an oversight and certainly not intended to send a message that would disparage you, our flag or our nation,""The notion never entered the minds of our players or anyone affiliated with the Jacksonville Jaguars"

just how in the holy fukk does the president of the jaguars know exactly what entered the minds of every one of his players and employees? what a lying, two-faced jacksonville jackass.

NFL is gonna be on life support in a few years. Protests, CTE, kids opting out of high school team, cost of attending games, fights in the stands...

Jacksonville is a huge military town. Not surprising that they are doing damage control with the team being competitive

NFL basically giving Trump the middle finger here

    Trump looks like a moron

NFL is a business and they only care about this as much as it affects the bottom line, but they also have to be careful not to piss off their workers or they'll get revolt there. Trump thought he was important, interjected and the NFL came back today and said if players want to kneel they can

Only people mad about this are Trump supporters

and there lies the problem. Football fans are mostly conservative or minimum pro standing. Kaepernick supporters spend most of the day social justice warrioring and aren’t watching the nfl anyway. So you have mostly liberal player base vs a mostly conservative fan base. freedom of speech doesn’t mean freedom of consequences. I can’t end a phone call at work by saying “abortion is murder”. The players can protest away if they are ok with declining interest and less money.

The NFL hasn’t done anything up to this date. They’re probably better off doing nothing and hope the product is good enough to overcome the drama. Look at Chic Fil A. Nobody cares about their political stances if their chicken sandwich is good enough. Problem with the nfl now is that the product is mostly shitty.

    Agree with everything you said.

I would only add that whether it is a shitty product is subjective but even beyond that, there is no competition. In light of there being no competition, it can afford to be a shittier product and still get people to watch it.

True. I think their main problem now is that it’s difficult for so many people to watch their team and we are a much more mobile society now. Nobody who is a Seattle fan in Florida wants to watch the jaguars and dolphins every week. Make it so that people can pick their games without dropping down $400 or going to a bar and popularity goes up again

Stupid players and owners don't quite yet understand that this kneeling crap is really bad for business, their product and the future of the NFL.

NBA and MLB owners, commissioners and players all seem to be smarter then the NFL as they aren't kneeling.. I can't believe the absolute stupidity in the NFL from top to bottom to be honest as this freak show continues.....

If kneeling isn't meant to disrespect the military, then why apologize? If you are apologizing, then you are admitting guilt.

    Fake news

No one is apologizing for anything, just an owner running his mouth.

This is as fake as those idiots saying ratings are down. They've been going down ever since you could stream live NFL games. Live streaming doesn't count in the ratings, so it looks like less people are watching when if fact more people than ever watch the NFL. This is just people (Trump supporters) twisting information to fit their agenda. (Whoa! Big surprise there!) The government has always twisted the facts to fit what they're promoting, the only thing different is the buffoon in office doesn't care if anyone believes him. It's his style, like it or I'll shove it in your mouth and make you like it!

    The downward spiral continues....

Owners aren’t idiots. They know it’s bad for business but the problem is too big to contain now. Nfl has had numerous chances to stamp this out and decided to let it go. Now they just have to ride it out. Nba & MLB are able to learn from the nfls mistakes. It boils down to poor leadership
