According to the Baltimore Sun, Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs wants to sign an extension with the Ravens before he becomes one of the most sought-after free agents at the end of the season. Suggs could receive $20 million in guaranteed money in his next contract based on the current market.

Sounds to me like he is scared of getting hurt or having a down year. In a contract year, wouldn't you want to try and increase your value, then test the market? Either way, is he worth that $20 million in guaranteed money they are talking about?

No way. He's trying to get the Ravens to overspend now so that they won't lose another key defender for the second year in a row. But he's no Adalius Thomas.
