I've been in touch with some professional gamblers, and they indicated that betting on Jimmy Claussen to win the Passing Title is a losing prop bet as well. Avoid this proposition like the clap.

It'll be tough to beat AP if he plays 16 games. Norv loves to pound the rock and AP is more than willing and able.

I mean, that's nice and all, but that's not really the point of the thread. Making a free pick telling people not to bet on a +8500 wager is silly. "Gore's not a smart pick for the Rushing Title." Yeah no shit, that's why it's +8500.

I think they are saying despite the 85-1 odds it's still not great value. I agree. Gore is an ancient RB at 32 years old. Also, in Pep Hamilton's scheme, the running game isn't a focal point. Gore will get a lot of his yards as a 3rd down back catching screens, not running it. It'll likely to be a running back by committee, Gore isn't the bell cow back that he was 10 years ago. Maybe I'd take a min bet at 850-1, crazier things have happened, but I see no value only getting 85-1.
