    Jameis Winston Has Been Designated A Babysitter

    Hall of Fame linebacker Derrick Brooks, who played for Tampa Bay after a stellar career at Florida State, has said he plans to help mentor the latest Seminole-turned-Buccaneer.

    Most recently, Brooks told former teammate Ian Beckles of WDAE radio that Brooks plans to regularly communicate with Winston.

    “He’s going to meet with Jameis every day when [Jameis] comes back to Tampa,” Beckles said, via JoeBucsFan.com. “That’s never happened in the history of the NFL, where somebody takes their time to mold somebody, and Derrick said the same thing I’ve been saying the whole time, ‘Jameis Winston is used to success his whole career, which is cool. The second he fails, how is he doing to deal with it? And that’s going to be the most important thing.'”

    Kid was mostly a product of a witch hunt. Imagine having a camera following one of you guys around when you were 18-20 every step of the way with ESPN exaggerating your every mistake. That's essentially what he had to live with. The girls rape story couldn't hold water. The crab legs was stupid, but who cares? Before the media vilified him, he went out of his way to help kids around town...but nobody cares about that.

    In all honesty, if this works you could see more mentor like setups similar to this happening. Would Manziel had turned out different if he had a professional beloved by the public like Bernie Kosar working side by side with him everyday?

    Winston surely could become serviceable and make a career out of the QB position. if he gets his stuff together I don't see why he couldn't play well enough to get some wins.
