    DH - NFL Picks 2013

My philosophy when it comes to wagering the NFL is simple.

3 Sides (Always buying the hook on underdogs if necessary) + 1 Total (Usually an Under) = Fairly Consistent $$
I always lay $100 base bets unless I double it up... so let's try to make some money this season!

Week 1 presents a fair amount of underdogs that I feel could easily get the job done. I like the Falcons and Bengals to give the Saints and Bears scares at home, but there are three I could not ignore the value. Good Luck this season!

    WEEK 1

ARIZONA CARDINALS +4.5 (-117) @ St. Louis Rams
NEW YORK GIANTS +3.5 (-125) @ Dallas Cowboys
New England Patriots @ BUFFALO BILLS +9.5 (-101)

    Miami Dolphins @ Cleveland Browns - UNDER 41 (-117)

Thanks Steve! The G-Men decided to let that one slip away just enough to burn me, but I don't think the two doggies tonight will follow suit. I don't always play MNF, but I like the games this week. In fact, I like each one to have a good shot at winning their game SU, but I'm not going to be that bold. Too many questions on the opposing side line for them to be laying more than a FG in this match-up. Good Luck!

It's a trick line. The public is all over Houston. SD rolls at home for the season opener on MNF.

Thanks Steve... hope we both made some money this week!

Week 1 is in the books... you could see the Chargers & Eagles defenses breaking down in the second half, but nonetheless, both those teams were able to build up big enough leads to cover their downward spiral of 20+ unanswered points... can't wait for week 2 to finally get here!

I now have two losses, both thanks to Eli... I swear I'm not going to bet the Giants every week. Glad I laid off the Steelers tonight, they look to be reeling in the 2nd half. Can't wait for next week!

Thanks joco... time to make it three nice weeks in a row, and I'm not going to give Eli the chance this week to ruin the sweep! Why is the public backing him again? I mean I know it's Carolina, but I just don't get it right now.

Sticking with the Cardinals one more week, and it makes sense getting more than a touchdown against the Saints with a slumping Drew Brees at the helm. Back on the Chargers as well who have impressed as I had hoped. Ravens and Bengals seem like risky bets, but home underdogs of this caliber are rare and both should get a solid push throughout the game. In the marquee rookie matchup I like the Bills to provide a more well-balanced attack. I also like the Lions, but the over seems like a better wager given these teams' ability to put up points. Almost game time... Good Luck!

Sticking with the doggies that I think have a solid chance of winning the game. These points pay the dividends needed to maintain a successful season against the spread. Texans should make a statement at home this week against a Seahawks team that losses their 12th man on the road. Jets have made me a believer with a stout defense and Geno Smith getting more and more comfortable. Pryor I think will go, giving me much more confidence in the Raiders against the Redskins weak defense. No Gronk or Amendola yet, but when has that stopped Brady from winning? Falcons have some serious concerns in aging Roddy, S-Jax and Gonzo. I like the Ravens and Bills to go back and forth keeping them both at 21 points of less with kicking being more of a non-factor due to high winds. Ravens should walk away with this one, but the under has my money. I got my wagers in, time to sit back and enjoy the action today! Good Luck!

    WEEK 4

    Seattle Seahawks @ HOUSTON TEXANS +2½ (-115)
NEW YORK JETS +3½ (-112) @ Tennessee Titans
    Washington Redskins @ OAKLAND RAIDERS +3½ (-130)
NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS +2½ (+104) @ Atlanta Falcons

Well after getting burned by the Texans to cap off Week 4, I'm back in Week 5 with some more doggies ready to put another tick in the win column and get me back to having profitable Sundays. Ravens have gone from Super Bowl champs to some has-beens in just a few weeks. Dolphins are a team that will continue to play below their talent level and I see it biting them vs. Harbaugh. I've avoided taking the points with Jacksonville thus far, but this week seems ripe against the Rams who lack offensive power. Pats were my only side winner last week and I don't see the Bengals posing anymore of a threat given their weakened defensive state. Bears get the Saints fresh off a primetime blowout in a much more hostile environment. This is why home field advantage is so huge in the NFL. I like the Panthers to come out slow after a bye against a stout Arizona defense. Panthers can hold their own too, but it's not like Palmer will be making it too difficult on them. That's my take, like it or leave it. Good luck in week 5!

    WEEK 5

    BALTIMORE RAVENS +3
    (-135) @ Miami Dolphins
JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS +11½ (-117) @ St. Louis Rams
NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS +1 (-117) @ Cincinnati Bengals
New Orleans Saints @ CHICAGO BEARS +1 (-103)

    Carolina Panthers @ Arizona Cardinals - UNDER 42½ (-117)
