Tebow was signed as a Practice player. Nothing more.

Kid is on the team simply to help the defense get prepared for the read-option which is catching on in the NFL. His real value is on the scout team. Be interesting to see if he can make it past that, but it is doubtful.

Hope he can deal with that fact.

They will use him as a TE when Gronk and Hernandez get hurt.

He is going to be on the practice squad. Or cut.

Has no chance to be Brady's backup

Tebow knows he has to make something of himself this year... any position... or it's probably all over for him. That must be mentally and psychologically draining from being the #1 player in college football... to being a bench player in the NFL... on the verge of being out. I seriously wouldn't want to get up the next day. God or no God. I'd want to die.

Remember Flutie's final run as a backup QB with the Pats? Could see the same here - Tebow should practice some drop kicking

    Here's in interesting fact....

    2013 Base Salary
    Tim Tebow's $630,000
    Colin Kaepernick $740,844*

    ...only a $110,000 difference.

*Doesn't include signing bonus. Kap's also landed some endorsement deals, and, if he continues to play like he has, stands to make gazillions after his four-year contract is up in 2014.

I'm sure Tebow has an appreciation for money, too, but he appears to be a person who will give a 100% effort no matter how much he's getting paid probably because his personal incentives are based on non-monetary rewards.

You clearly don't know and understand Belichick.........

He will use Tebow for what he was born to be which is a TE/FB..........

Tim Tebow, much like Bron Bron, doesn't see his main income come from the team salary. It's all about those endorsements, and Tebow will be a Millionaire for as long as he keeps sipping milk.

If he's willing to swallow his pride and do what he's told (if he can't do that with Brady/Belicheck around, he never will) why not put him in the backfield and use him on special teams?

Tebow will stay in the league for a minimum of 7-8 years. Teams value players with leadership and heart. Not as much as the ultra athletic and talented players obviously, but theres always going to be room on a roster for a guy like Tebow. He's in good shape, versatile because he can line up as a TE, backup QB, fullback, guy could probably even play some OLB. He's very coachable. He will retire rich by any of our standards.

Latest out of NE is that Gronk is scheduled to go under the knife again; this time its his back. Report says its "unlikely Gronkowski would be back for training camp, and that even a return for Week 1 was no sure thing."

Can't help but to think that Tebow may play a non-QB offensive role after all.

His church will get rich. Remember Mark Brunell, bankrupt after 17 years in the NFL, his church got millions from him.

Based on recent interviews from Robert "Putin stole my Super Bowl Ring" Kraft, the Hoodie, Brady Bunch, the Tea Party Himself, and various other NFL anal-lysts, imo reading between the lines...TT will be on the rooster, excuse me, roster, as of week 1.

Just read something which states that if Tebow makes the 52 man roster, The Jets are on the hook for a nice chuck of change on his contract.

If that is true, 1) I change my original stance - dude is making the roster in more than a scout team role. 2) Hoodie!

I'd say start him at TE. and cut hernandez immediately.

They dont need that murder investigation becoming a distraction.

BTW the Patriots are dumb as hell for letting Woodhead get away.

Funny that "Chaplain" has been mentioned in the Tebow conversation because the Pats' org has to be thinking right about now that it can use an image boost. Like it or not, look for Tebow to have more of a public presence come training camp.

...and there it is: Tebow "working out w/ receivers catching passes in early drills" according to media members at Patriot camp.

I don't know how good a pass catcher he is but if he doesn't prove to be at least semi capable he won't make the roster imo
