    Who cares about this record that Brees is going to break?

    The only reason it's being discussed so heavily is because of bounty-gate.

    Big fukkin deal he throws a td in 40-some consecutive games.

    In this day and age that record won't last and doesn't mean squat. It's the passing era of the NFL and Brees was around at the perfect time.

    For Unitas to set this record was damn impressive.

    2nd longest active streak is brady with 36 games. favre only had 36 in a row & marino only had a 30 game streak.

    so the real reason this is not an impressive record is that brees has missed starts during the streak.
