He only had one catch before he injured himself trying to catch a ball. It was ruled a catch and the overturned.

It may not be broken. I hope it isn't.

Contrary to a previous report, Rams GM Les Snead indicated that Danny Amendola's clavicle does not appear to be broken.

ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that Thursday's tests were inconclusive. Snead acknowledged that the team will not Amendola's full diagnosis until more tests are run on Friday. Whether the clavicle is broken or not, the early expectation is that Amendola will return later in the season. The initial timetable of 4-6 weeks could change pending Friday's news. Stay tuned for updates.

The Rams offense died when he went out of the game. S.Bradford missed 12 straight passes. Then they found the running game.

Who can step up in that WR core, and fill in at D.Amendola's spot?

it's true, when amendola wasn't in last night they had a lot of trouble moving the ball.

    Arizona has a good defense.

Not sure yet. Not much out there to pick up right now. I got D.Hixon, and if H.Nicks is out a extended amount of time, then he could be my backup. I may just stash him, unless I can get some break out player in the next week or two.

I'm hoping some good news come out of the tests today, on D.Amendola. They are now saying it may not be broken.

uh, he's a white guy. If he was a QB, it'd be an issue.

a black guy can do Amendola's job 10x better.

I was using Amendola as a bye week fill for megatron, was hoping for a breakout game, not a broken collarbone.

Dislocated, not broken. But still out up to 7 weeks.

Danny Amendola - WR - Rams

The Sideline View's Adam Caplan reports that Danny Amendola has been diagnosed with a dislocated clavicle and is expected to miss 6-7 weeks.

The clavicle is the collarbone. While it's good news that Amendola didn't suffer a full fracture, he's not going to be available until about Week 11 or 12. The Rams figure to keep Amendola on the roster rather than place him on injured reserve because he's such an integral part of Brian Schottenheimer's short-based passing attack. Austin Pettis and Steve Smith are candidates to take over in the slot. The Rams need to start getting something -- anything -- out of No. 33 overall pick Brian Quick.

Dislocated collarbone? Wow never heard of that. Weird everyone is saying this is a huge loss, I didn't watch the whole game but anytime I did he was dropping passes.

No broken bones or ligament damage. I hope this guy heals fast.

Amendola did in fact suffer a dislocation of the SC joint but did not suffer any ligament damage or broken bones. The Rams' medical staff was able to put the joint back in place immediately and cleanly which should make for a quicker recovery time. While it's been reported that Amendola will be out 6-to-7 weeks the Post-Dispatch is reporting that he could return as soon as four as it's all about how quickly Amendola naturally heals. It should be interesting to see how soon and how hard the scrappy slot receiver tries to get back on the field and what kind of push-back he gets from the Rams' training staff and coaches.

    Holy Sh!t! Life threatening?

Danny Amendola - WR - Rams

FOX's Jay Glazer reports Danny Amendola's dislocated clavicle could have been life-threatening, and that the Rams do not have a firm timetable for his return.

Yes, life-threatening. Amendola's clavicle popped in instead of out, coming dangerously close to his aorta and trachea. Amendola had to be sedated by the Rams doctors so they could pop his clavicle back in and assure it would not "dislodge" again. Per Glazer, the Rams don't have a concrete timeline for Amendola's return because it is an extremely uncommon, perhaps unprecedented, NFL injury. It still appears Amendola will play football again in 2012, however.
