This will be famous because the media are making a huge deal about the replacement refs.

But there have been worse mistakes by the regular refs, who are just awful. But people forget those travesties because it is just considered normal for the regular refs to ruin a game.

I remember a game from a few years back where the refs didn't know the rules and cheated the Pittsburgh Steelers out of a clear win. And then had to come out and apologize the very same night. The league said there was nothing that could be done. But the media didn't make a big deal out of that one. Only Steelers' fans and gamblers noticed.

OK, I went back and looked. The Steeler actually won the game 11-10. The spread was Pitt -4.5. The Steelers kicked a FG with almost no time left to take the lead. The Chargers decided to try crazy laterals in a desperate attempt to score on the return. Polamalu clearly intercepted a lateral and scored a TD with 0:00 on the clock.

But that same year Ed Hochuli inexplicably blew his whistle as Jay Cutler was fumbling against the Chargers. And so the fumble couldn't count because the play was dead. The ball was spotted where the fumble hit the ground (yes, really). That was the 10 yard line. Denver scored and made a 2 pt conversion to win 39-38.

The regular refs are just as bad, if not worse. It's really incredible how they can blow even easy calls when looking at it on slow motion replay. The Steelers TD was so obvious it had to be a fix. Not a Vegas fix, but a TV/NFL hurry up and end the game so we can show Obama interview on 60 minutes kinda thing.

Hochuli's call was just as bad as this one. Same with the megatron non-touchdown in Chicago. People will move on.

OK, it wasn't on the kick return. It was on the first play after the kick. The end of the highlight shows the play. First you have to watch a damn commercial.

It's sooooooo obvious. And they reviewed it for several minutes. Still blew it.

Yeah but the media is obsessed with the whole replacement ref thing. So this will be different. Most people are like sheep. The media tells them what to think and when to think it.

If the Packers miss the playoffs by one game, then it will be remembered.

When you look at the video, consider that the initial call was a TD. How does it get overturned? That game might have actually been fixed.
