    Important News for NFL Handicappers.

I have been critically analyzing every important influential aspect heading into the 2012 NFL Season and i must bring this to your attention. Specifically for Denver backers at their early home games. The Colorado State predicts a slightly above average hurricane season for September 2012. The Colorado State Univeristy team has called for a total of 13 named storms, 5 hurricanes, and 2 INTENSE hurricanes for the season. With Denver Broncos hosting the Steelers in week 1, and the Texans in week 3 one must keep a close eye on the forecasts. Surely poor weather will not only serve as a deterrence to home fan attendance, but will also be reflective on the field with sloppy and predictably low scoring games that discourages the QB's from putting the ball in the air. The 45.5 total for week one might be a little too high as of now. I will be keeping a close eye on this in weeks to come.

    Thanks

    Seaweed

Just so there is something useful in the next 5 pages of piss

Truck Rankings: Full Size Pickup Trucks

The 2012 Ford F-150 ranks 1 out of 10 Full Size Pickup Trucks. This ranking is based on our analysis of 51 published reviews and test drives of the Ford F-150, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.
For 2012, the Ford F-150 continues to be a comfortable and supremely capable full-size pickup truck that can be configured to fit almost any budget or use.
Test drivers say that one of the 2012 Ford F-150’s greatest attributes is how much it can be customized. Among its 10 trim levels, four powertrains, three cab styles and three bed lengths, you can configure an F-150 for hardcore work, luxurious commuting, off-road adventuring and nearly anything in between. Reviewers say that even the most basic trim is easy to use and well laid-out, and that both V6 engines are economical yet decently capable.
However, the areas where the F-150 falls short are when it’s compared with its rivals. Test drivers say that competitors like the Ram 1500 have a smoother ride and an even more decadent top-of-the-line trim. The Chevrolet Avalanche has more car-like handling than the F-150 while retaining truck-like capabilities, and the GMC Sierra 1500 costs less.
Overall, this means that full-size pickup shoppers have a wealth of choices available. Still, reviewers say that the Ford F-150 is worth a look to anyone shopping for a pickup. It’s one of the most fuel-efficient trucks on the market, and has a brawny towing capacity that can handle most light-duty tasks. "All said, though, the F-150 is still one of the most appealing trucks on the market thanks to its user-friendly features and pleasant driving dynamics,” writesEdmunds.

The 2012 Ram 1500 ranks 2 out of 10 Full Size Pickup Trucks. This ranking is based on our analysis of 36 published reviews and test drives of the Ram 1500, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.
Reviewers love the 2012 Ram 1500’s best-in-class ride, convenient cargo storage options and well-made interior, calling it one of the best full size pickups in the class.
Test drivers say the 2012 Ram 1500 drives like a car, which is unheard-of for a full-size pickup truck. Though it’s by no means nimble, it’s one of the smoothest-driving trucks around, thanks to its advanced suspension. Not only is its top-of-the-line Laramie Longhorn trim nearly as upscale as that of a luxury car, but even its lower trims’ interiors are well-made and comfortable. Reviewers also say that most of its engine options are more than capable for most tasks.
The Ram 1500 does such an impressive job combining an upscale interior, smooth handling and value that it earned our 2012 Best Full Size Pickup Truck for the Money award. Though the Ram has some drawbacks, including an underpowered base engine and tight backseat, reviewers say that the Ram’s great interior finishes and smooth ride are probably worth the trade-offs.

The 2012 GMC Sierra 1500 ranks 3 out of 10 Full Size Pickup Trucks. This ranking is based on our analysis of 56 published reviews and test drives of the GMC Sierra 1500, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.
The 2012 GMC Sierra 1500 may be aging compared with more recently updated competitors, but reviewers say it’s still a good choice for a full-size truck.
In general, test drivers say the GMC Sierra 1500 is a good truck. It has a competitive maximum towing capacity, its controls are easy to use and its seats are comfortable. With the number of cab, powertrain, trim and bed configurations, the 2012 Sierra 1500 can be configured to nearly anyone’s specifications, which reviewers appreciate. Plus, it gets fairly good fuel economy for a full-size pickup truck.
Though reviewers like the GMC Sierra 1500 and its corporate sibling, theChevrolet Silverado 1500, better than dated offerings like the Toyota Tundraand the Nissan Titan, they say that domestic competitors outshine the GMC Sierra in most ways. The GMC Sierra’s Denali trim is luxurious, but it still can’t match competitors’ top-of-the-line trims in terms of interior quality or materials. The Sierra also doesn’t offer high-tech interior options like American rivals, and its competitors can out-tow, out-haul and out-handle it, as well.
However, the GMC Sierra is still a solid choice for a full-size pickup truck. It isn’t the best in its class, but test drivers say that buyers won’t be disappointed with the 2012 GMC Sierra 1500.

The 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ranks 4 out of 10 Full Size Pickup Trucks. This ranking is based on our analysis of 74 published reviews and test drives of the Chevrolet Silverado 1500, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.

Though the 2012 Chevrolet Silverado is surpassed by its rivals in a few key ways, test drivers say it’s a good truck with plenty of capability and useful features for most buyers.

Though the 2012 Silverado lags behind its competition in a few important areas, reviewers say it’s not a bad truck. However, most of its shortcomings come as a result of its age. Its main competitors, the Ford F-150 and Ram 1500, have both been redesigned more recently than the Silverado, and as a result, have better interiors and more capable powertrains.
For instance, though it’s not the best in the class, the Silverado has a substantial maximum towing capacity, and a range of mostly capable engines. Its top-of-the-line trim offers features that are comparable with the best in the class, but its fit and finish isn’t quite up to the standard set by Ram. And although the Silverado feels more nimble than its rivals, its ride isn’t as smooth as others.
In this class, though, many buyers’ decisions will come down to the brand. If you’re truly brand-blind, there are plenty of options that are either more capable or less expensive than the Silverado. But if you’ve got your heart set on a General Motors brand like Chevrolet or GMC, test drivers say you’ll do just fine with the 2012 Chevy Silverado.

The 2012 Chevrolet Avalanche ranks 6 out of 10 Full Size Pickup Trucks. This ranking is based on our analysis of 55 published reviews and test drives of the Chevrolet Avalanche, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.
The 2012 Chevrolet Avalanche is a good compromise between a comfortable SUV and capable pickup truck.
With a pickup bed grafted onto the body of an SUV, the Chevrolet Avalanche is one of few sport utility trucks left on the market. For a few years, these vehicles were relatively popular because they combined a smoother ride than most pickups and more utility than most SUVs. But as automakers improved their pickups, buyers began to migrate toward more rugged full-size trucks, and the SUT segment began to dwindle.
But that doesn’t mean sport utility trucks aren’t useful. The Avalanche can tow more than some models of the full-size Nissan Titan, and gets good fuel economy for such a large vehicle. Plus, it can seat up to six adults in comfort, while retaining the option to transform the back seat into an 8-foot bed. That way, you can have a big bed when you need it, and seating for five people when you don’t. Finally, the Avalanche comes with more standard features than any other pickup’s base trim.
If you need full-out utility and don’t prioritize ride comfort or interior features, you’ll want to look at a traditional pickup truck. However, the Chevrolet Avalanche provides plenty of capability for most weekend warriors without a punishing ride during weekday commutes.

Not one of my personal favorites the Avalanche. Gimmicky, a cross between a Sierra and a Tinkertoy. Move a handful of them a few years ago and used one as a winter vehicle, nice unit with Nav, leather. roof, LTZ trim and 4X4. Still felt gimmicky though.

Khaner I get that and kudos to you for thinking without impulse. I have a real nicely equipped Ranger for some light work around the house and for her kid to drive. Rides a bit boxy but great trim package and very economical.

We will do a full review of the economy pickup class in the next Seaweed thread.

    The Imports

The 2012 Nissan Titan ranks 10 out of 10 Full Size Pickup Trucks. This ranking is based on our analysis of 75 published reviews and test drives of the Nissan Titan, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.
The 2012 Nissan Titan remains a good full-size pickup truck for casual users, but it’s outdone in nearly every way by rivals that are more capable, more customizable and less expensive.
Test drivers say that the 2012 Nissan Titan is a pretty good truck. Its controls are easy to use, it comes standard with V8 muscle and it handles fairly well for such a big, heavy machine. It’s a pretty good compromise between all-out utility and everyday usability.
But reviewers say that this compromise is the reason why the Titan falls short. Most of its rivals offer outstanding capability without sacrificing interior luxury. The Titan has one of the smallest towing capacities in the class, despite its standard V8, and its lack of regular cab and long bed options mean that it’s not the best vehicle for shoppers who need their truck for work. And shoppers who want a truck for play will find that the Nissan Titan’s rivals offer interiors with more features and better build quality at a comparable price. Plus, its poor fuel economy and relatively high base price mean it’s not the budget-oriented pick in its class, either.
Overall, reviewers say the Nissan Titan isn’t a bad truck. Weekend warriors will appreciate its combination of drivability and utility. But most buyers in the market for a full-size pickup will be better-served by shopping the competition

So then the way to profit from this information is to bet the "under" for amount of games won?
Seeing as Peyton won't throw as much?
Or did i miss the point?

The 2012 Toyota Tundra ranks 5 out of 10 Full Size Pickup Trucks. This ranking is based on our analysis of 70 published reviews and test drives of the Toyota Tundra, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.
Though the 2012 Toyota Tundra isn’t a bad truck, it’s outperformed by nearly every one of its domestic rivals.
Test drivers say that the 2012 Toyota Tundra will perform most of the towing, hauling and people-moving tasks you ask of it. Though it tows less than its top competitors, the Tundra is still almost as capable as most other full-size pickup trucks. It’s available in a few different configurations, which reviewers appreciate. Testers say the 2012 Tundra has a surprisingly roomy back seat, and its interior electronics and controls are easy to use.
However, like the lackluster Nissan Titan, the Tundra is outdone by American brand trucks in nearly every way. The Ford F-150 and Ram 1500 can tow more, though the Ram’s limit is only 50 pounds more than the Tundra’s. TheFord, Ram and the GMC Sierra 1500 Denali offer near-luxury levels of interior comfort and technology, which the Toyota Tundra can’t come close to. Plus, the Tundra’s fuel economy lags behind most of its competitors, especially theChevrolet Silverado Hybrid and the Ford F-150 with the Ecoboost engine.
Overall, if you’re a Toyota loyalist and you need a hardworking truck, reviewers say you won’t be disappointed by the 2012 Tundra. But if you’ve got an open mind and want the best truck in the class, you should consider a Ford or Ram

Again another import not well reviewed. Perhaps the bias here is North American. Again I do not know much about the imports. They do seem to have good resale but cannot be lowballed on the wholesale end.

It would appear that they are top ranked here. I don't mind them but find the trim packages more attractive on the Silvers and Sierras. The Ford still is probably the best workhorse though. I have heard some transmission issues (linkage) with the 12's
