Packers are only -8 on Sagarin, so -10.5 or -11

    GB - 11 vs NYG
    GB - 9.5 vs ATL

I do not see how the Saints are favored @ SF.

Saints are DEFINITELY favored, and -3.5 is more likely than -3

injury situation is way different in GB NY matchup now plus that 7 point line was a joke.

    GB -9.5
    Saints -3 -115
    Patriots -3.5
    Ravens -8

No it won't go below 3. If anything, it will go up a tad. I don't even think it will go on 3, I think it stays 3.5 minimum.

The "smart" guys down here do not like the Saints on grass. I never paid much attention to how much the field surface has changed th game. Some of the old heads have told me that grass used to be poorly kept on football fields, and with the upgrades in landscaping techniques. the play has become much faster.

For example, I would not touch the under in todays bowl game.

No it was not and no way. The Saints have had considerably shorter odds on the futures for quite some time. Line will be Saints -3.5, so be happy if you like the Niners.

I don't want to take your points. Just look at Pinny odds to win the NFC right now. Despite having to play an extra game and having to play at SF assuming they get by Detroit, Saints are still +298 while Niners are +653. That's all you need to know.

Saints were -4.5 vs Titans or lower and now they are going to be -3.5 vs Niners

Vegas only has Saints 2-3 points better so game will be close to a pick.

Are you saying the Saints are 6.5 points better than the Steelers?
Yeah Ben hobbled but still....saints a different team on grass/road/outdoors.

Let's make a friendly 100 point bet then. No loss for either one of us.

What are you talking about? Playoff lines are merely extrapolations of future odds. Stop comparing to regular season lines, that means absolutely nothing. People were saying I was nuts when I said Packers would be -3.5 at Chicago in NFC Championship Game last year too, it is not that hard to project lines using Pinny futures.

I give up! People that can't figure out that Saints will be minimum of -3 and probably slightly higher just by looking at Pinny futures probably shouldn't be betting.

Wow...you're right, LT. Didnt look at the futures prices. Saints will definitely be favored over SF...probably 4.

Not really. They just use their adjusted power rankings and add HFA and public bias.

    Houston/Cincy Both 89 power. 3 for HFA = -3
    Giants/Atlanta Both 92 power. 3 for HFA = -3

    Saints = 98 power
    Detroit = 91 power
    4 for HFA = -11

Simple and spot on. The only line that is off is Pitt/Den

Your "future" extrapolations don't make sense, one example is a pointless sample.

    Giants futures +1800
    Atlanta futures +4000

You do your math how the spread is only -3 with HFA.

If we were using your theory it would be at least -7.

Where are you getting your numbers from? Giants are +1300 and Falcons are +2500, so it extrapolates to Giants ML of -151. Perfect. Saints/49ers extrapolates to Saints ML of -185.

    Packers -8.5 vs Giants

Saints will win and cover. And Giants beat the Packers straight up.

    NFC Championship

    Giants @ Saints

Based on that, Saints will be -4 or -4.5 over 49ers and Packers will be -9 or -9.5 vs, Falcons OR -9.5 or -10 vs. Giants
