DETROIT -
A former player with the Green Packers has revealed some inside information on what may have sparked Detroit Lions Ndamukong Suh to stomp on the arm of Packers guard Evan Dietrich-Smith during the Thanksgiving's Day game.
According to a report by Fox Sports former Green Bay Packer Matt Brock told a Portland, Oregon radio station Dietrich-Smith was given instructions to untie Suh's shoelaces when ever he could during a pile-up.
Brock said the guard approached the offensive line coach prior to the game and asked what he could do to stop Suh. According to Brock the coach then told his player, "Anytime you can just reach in; he's got floppy shoelaces, he doesn't spat (cover them with tape) or anything, just untie his shoes. It will irritate him."
"That's why he banged his head on the ground and he stomped him," said Brock.
Suh was suspended for two games following the incident.
So far Suh has avoided any questions about the incident since returning with his team.
