Semantics at the window when betting totals?

Quick question concerning the procedure at the window when betting totals. I am clear on giving the "bet # or rotation #" to the clerk when betting the spread or the ML. If I want to bet the under on a game I assume I would give the lower bet#? As an example:

    Bet# Teams Spread ML Totals

    301 Buffalo Bills (+12.5) -110 +625 o (45) -110

    302 NE Patriots (-12.5) -110 -950 u (45) -110

So if I want to bet the under in the above game do I say "Bet #302 ....$110 on the under."

Or is it more "correct" to say "Bet# 302......$110 on the total." Since the clerk "knows" that
I want the under since the under is always listed as the bottom total number and the bet number I gave (#302) is the bottom number?
    Thanks all.

I always use the top number and include "To Risk" some tellers will come back and say is that what you want to win
301 BUFFALO NEW ENGLAND UNDER 55 (OR WHATEVER THE # IS ) RISK $110
THEN STUDY THE TICKET BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE WINDOW otherwise you eat the mistake
and yea it happens a lot with newbie tellers
THEN TAKE A PICTURE OF THE TIC WITH YOUR PHONE IF IT GETS LOST OR MANGLED THEY WILL COVER YOU IF IT HAS NOT BEEN CASHED (IF U LOST IT) They will look at the video of you buying it

Keep it simple. Either rotation number and "under" will suffice.
