    Marquette -3.5

This one is too good to be true, an overrated Uconn team goes in to play an excellent Marquette team, don't get me wrong KEMBA is best pure scorer in the nation, but who else do they have ROSCOE SMITH, hahahah the guy is a joke and thinks he is good... Marquettes pressure defense will turn Uconn over more then they have had all season... Look for Marquette to win by double digits.

That's the way I see it, but we'll see what happens. I've been Marquette blow 3 double digit 2nd half leads this year though. Don't forget about the time that were up on Mil-Wisconsin by 18 with 5 min left and ended up winning by 4.

Well if they win by 4 they cover don't they? hahaha, also its easy to relax against Mil Wisconsin, against Uconn they will be focused the entire time, I promise.

Everyone caps differently, I try to combine a little bit of everything, but mostly I'm backend capper, and line analyst.

If you trade stocks at all there are two major ways of trading, Fundamental, these are your core values of company, postion in the industry etc. and technical, this is based purely on the graphs, trading Bolinger bands, support and resistance Fibinacci sequence etc. I try to do the same when capping. So that being said here are my feelings as I have went into a bit already.

Fundamental- Uconn has one player Kemba Walker, the backup pointguard who actually starts sometimes right now, when kemba goes to 2 guard, is light skinned black kid who is also pretty good, he plays excellent on ball defense but he isn't very offensive minded yet, the rest of the team has absolutely NO SKILL, thats right I said it no SKILL... They have false confidence when they make 3's at home that they won't be able to hit on the road and this will show tonight...
Uconn also just won an exciting game against Villanova with Kemba Walker making game winnning bucket... Nova was up 7 most of second half, then the crowd and Kemba willed uconn to the victory... Big emotional ups like this are almost always followed by let downs espcially against althetic high energy teams on the road.

Marquette, all everyone remembers is that they blew the 18 point lead with 5 minutes left against a terrible Louville team, this is true, but remember they were good enough to get up 18 on the road, and ask yourself a question if they were home do you think they would have blown the lead? I think not.

Technical- This is based purely on lines opening lines action and movement... Public fell in love with Kemba's game winner yet line opened up a litte high at -4, public and every sucker out there immediately jumped all over the +4 and the Uconn moneyline, but something funny happended the line didn't budge, at some places it went down to 3.5 but immediiately went right back up (this is why I ended up having to buy the .5). Anyway I noticed the lines juice was infact starting to favor Marquette going to -4 -130... As soon as I saw this i was sold, knowing that is was going to go to 4.5 very soon... My book still had even odds so I hoped on 3.5 -120 and sure enough the line went to 4.5, shortly after... So think of it this way... I've got a play at 3.5 -120 when its probably going to finish at 4.5 maybe 5. So I've got a line that would be -140 maybe -150 by gametime... ITs this positive expectancy that I look for and try to get whenever I can.

Good luck all, except those that took Uconn of course, hahaha.

Lol some of you are nuts....uconn has no skill??? did any of you watch them beat a great texas team IN TEXAS??? they are also very young and now have a half season under their belt...This will be a 1-4pt win which could go either way.

I'm former althete, and yes Uconn has no skill, Kemba Walker has alot of skill... Texas is playing well right now, but I feel they are overrated as well... Uconn matched up very well with texas, Texas's strength is their bigmen right? What does Uconn have Big Althetic Bodies, so they were able to d up against Texas and Kemba did what Kemba does...

So now they play Marquette, what does Marquette have? Fast Fast guards everywhere, they will be much to fast for Uconn espcially at home, as in any game anything can happen, but remember what I said. We will talk when its over.

True, I'm glad i got it at 3.5, it appears its going to go to 5... Another one you might be interested in is Clemson,,, got it at 6.5, it opened at 8 dropped to 7.5 have a feeling it might get to 8.5 by gametime.

what does this have to do with anything? uconn is 14-5 as an underdog the last 3 years. none of it means squat in this particular matchup tonight.

how do you know? you dont. neither do i. im not putting too much credence into it though and assuming you are an adult, you can do what you want or pay attention to what you want.

sometimes there are reasons mentally that these obscure stats manifest. has a lot to do with coaching and discipline and complacency and strategy and tempo and conditioning and mental toughness and being able to hear the coach and having a good practice regimen etc etc etc.....

the more stats, the merrier...then just pay attention to whatever you want.

nicely said Glitch, maybe you are a genious... I'm not into all of the trends and stats, but your reasoning is spot on.... The single most important aspect to winning in the long run is being able to accurately predict end of game strategies and tendencies... However you can come to your conclusion it doesn't matter if you can figure out this one simple thing you will be a very rich man.

I lean Marquette -4 but I may bite on the ML instead. Seems like there could be a good chance for UConn to possibly backdoor the 4.

UConn isn't coming off the Nova win... they played Tennessee this past Saturday. And, handily, handily beat a Tennessee team that, when they show up (which they usually do for big games and I felt did Saturday), give teams fits. So, don't see the hangover, or letdown factor that you state from Nova game.

Have a hard time saying UConn isn't athletic when they went on the road and beat a very, very good Texas team - oh, that just beat Kansas in their place this past Saturday...

not playing it, but good luck all.

sorry i left tennesee game out, you are correct no hangover, but rather just the mystik of Uconn winning games in gamblers minds.... And about uconns althetisms I feel they are very althetic team, but not discplined and not a ball handler among them besides Kemba of course... Therefore the preasure from Marquette will cause fits for Uconn and they will be in foul trouble all game.

Yea Pick Master I see it going to 5 by gametime, nothing is a lock or a guarantee, but I can guarantee you that Marquette is the right side on this one... All that is left to be determined is the outcome.

    Overrated UCONN?
Have you seen who they beat so far?
Go back to the opening tournament, Huskies beat #2 MSU and #9 UK on back to back nights.
Then they beat #12 Texas on the road, defeated #7 'Nova, and you call this team overrated.
    Overachievers yes, Overrated, HELL no.
You really can't be that ignorant, my guess is you are a Calhoun hater.

Who else they got after Walker?
Have you seen Napier play recently?
The freshman kid is playing like a polished junior, his progress has been scary.
    Oriakhi is solid.

Marquette doesn't have the right stuff to seal the deal.

OK hot shot, I got 20 points that say Marquette doesn't win by double digits like you say they will.

Hahaha, I don't have any betpoints, and I've never bet them, I've got 1000 real dollars on the game, my ticket is posted... Just avg. size bet for me, trying to build decent roll for tourney time...

But how bout this I don't even want your betpoints, if Marquette doesn't cover the 3.5 I'll just give you 20 points as soon as I get them, you don't need to give me anything...

Oh and I'm not Calhoun hater at all, I actually like Uconn, Kemba Walker is ridiculous and the kid Napier is decent, like I said he is great defensivily, and not bad desicion maker, I'll give you that... Uconn's wins in that first tournament surprised everyone for sure, it made me realize that instead of Kemba Walker being top 20 player in the nation he is more like Top 5...

Don't consider myself Hot Shot, I play angles that I see, I'm right more then I'm wrong... As for betting betpoints, I don't need them as I said I bet real money... 20 points hell I'll just give you whatever points I get each day, they are no use to me. Sometimes I try out different craps strategies but thats about it.

    I got UCONN +5 for 200 -115
Should be a good one, This game has buzzer written all over it.
Calhoun knows this is Marquette, not Rutgers or DePaul, Huskies show up tonight.
What you need to worry about though is UCONN is #2(I think) in the nation in blocks, and #6 in boards, if Marquette doesn't make their first shot tonight, they will get no second, Huskies are beasts cleaning up underneath.

If Huskies cover, save the points, no bet, I respect you, know why? you voiced your opinion and backed it up.
Can't wait for this one, should be great.

I was actually around, before betpoints were around with a different handle, I was one of the people who suggested to the mods that they work on something like this, because well its great idea for them and there site, it keeps people on the site longer, different promotional opportunites as an affllliate for the Sportsbooks, so for the website it is a Win win and SBR has come a long long way in the last 3 to 4 years...

That being said the quality of posters has went on an extremely sharp decline since the advent of points, you get a bunch of people on here, let live to bet imaginary money and talk shit and brag to people they have never seen before and will never see... If I didn't have real money on the games I wouldn't even watch, hell sometimes I still don't watch even with doe on the games...

Some of the good posters that are still around I'll name Lakerboy really knows his NBA, win or lose I consider him sharp, he even did very well on NFL playoffs.
Nicky Santoro he doesn't post in subforums really ever, but he is also very sharp and knows what he is talking about...

There are a few others but they are few and far between, the rest are all just young kids that are bored that have no money and thats ok, but I miss when you used to get real insight from some posters on the site.

Good luck buddy, hopefully Uconn loses by 4 so we can both win, I really don't want to have to sweat it out that much though, so how bout this scenerio marquette up 7 with 5 seconds left and Kemba makes a meaningless 3... That way I get to save myself a few gray hairs from stress, you get great action and the high of getting an exciting win, and we both watch our bankrolls grow. hahahaha
