Thing is the best teams in the NIT do not always play at their best because they may not want to be here after NCAA snub. This year though, Temple is the only team that I had in the NCAA that I see here at first glance, so the other three one-seeds have no reason not to play there best.

Anybody thought about the rule changes affecting scoring? For those of you that don't know, they're going to have a 30 second shot clock for the NIT. In addition, they're going to expand the restricted area under the basket from 3' to a 4' radius. I think this will result in some higher scoring games. May be something to keep in mind when betting the over/unders.

Very good defensive team. Decent shooting team. They play well on the road. They are 25-7, and undefeated in conference play (MEAC), but blew it in their tournament against Delaware State. They certainly don't play the same sort of competition as Miami, that is for sure. But this is a classic NIT play. The NIT is a Big Deal for a team like NC Central, and they are hungry after giving away their NCAA tourney ticket. For Miami, the NIT is a big letdown. Also -- warning -- I'm a line-watcher. It was a fishy small line to begin with, IMO, and now, with a solid majority of bets on Miami, line has moved from +9.5 to +8.5.

I normally agree with this, but this years Miami team didn't exactly expect a whole lot. Definitely more than last year, but I dont see it as a huge let down. They already knew they werent going to be in the tourney this year well before their last game IMO. I'll probably attend this game, so I may lay off it
