Look for the Drexel Dragons to prove the NCAA Committee wrong tonight by thumping a quality ACC opponent in the NC State Wolfpack.

Say what you will, but Drexel was snubbed by the NCAA Committee and should be playing in the NCAA Tournament.

The Dragons had a number of solid wins this season, as victories at Creighton, St. Joe's, Syracuse and Villanova should have been enough. Instead, they will just have to accept the same NIT fate as Hofstra from a year ago. Now many will expect that with all the snub talk, they will have forgotten about their game tonight with the Wolfpack. I completely beg to differ as Head Coach Flint will have his men ready, and Mason, Mejia, and Elegar are going to have huge games against this North Carolina State squad that has played a ton of basketball in the last five days against tough ACC competition. They Pack should be worn down, and not even Coach Lowe's red blazer will save them from the fate they are about to be handed.

The Dragons did not have a great record against the spread at home this season, but that is because they had to lay some obscene amounts of chalk. That is not the case here with this very manageable line, so lay the chalk and look for the ultra-motivated Dragons move on

    Pick: Drexel -5

The Dragons are spitting fire after not making it to the Big Dance. Take Drexel tonight against the North Carolina State Wolfpack.

Drexel is going to play this game for the committee as they got snubbed out of the dance after big wins at Georgetown, Villanova, and Creighton. They are averaging 64 points per game and allowing just 56 points per game at home this season. NC State is allowing better than 74 points per game on the road this season.

The Dragons are 5-0 against the spread in their last five non-conference games and are 6-2 against the spread in their last eight games following an against the spread loss. The Wolfpack are 3-7 against the spread in their last 10 games as an underdog of ½-6½ and are 1-5 against the spread in their last six non-conference games. The leader of the Wolfpack, Engin Atsur, planted wrong and disrupted his hamstring injury. He did continue, but isn't close to 100%. Lay the points as Drexel takes advantage of the injuries.

    Play: Drexel -5½

Drexel's motivation levels right now is the key reason I can't play them.
