Can anyone explain why they are playing so well is it the defense, passing, depth, etc?

everything. and melo just is not a good player. all the players are just happy to not have a ball hog on their team. oh, and they have 9-10 players that would play heavy minutes on most teams. so my answer is all of the above.

They're deeper than any team in the league right now. They replaced a volume shooter that played no defense a la Anthony with players that know how to play as a team. Their chemistry together is impressive for a team that's only been together for a month. They have such a variety of lineups they can play at any given time that most teams don't know how to adjust. Keep riding the wagon till the wheels fall off, they could make a push for the #4 seed and take home court advantage from the Thunder in their matchup. They're 3 games back of the Thunder and have 2 games remaining against the Thunder on their schedule.

I remember there was a prop on Bodog about how many games the Nuggets would win the rest of the season immediately after the Carmelo trade. The over/under on games won was 12.

This team is solid but won't go very far in the playoffs, IMHO

Them playing the Spurs on Wednesday will be a good test. I don't see them losing to them old geezers at home. Nuggets had chances to easily beat the Spurs twice already this season with a weaker defensive team. Like their chances more now, with Dino Gillanari back.

This would be a great play if Duncan doesn't play.

Hopefully Denver gets Felton back, who's say he likely will be and Duncan still remains out with his ankle sprain. Either way, I don't see Duncan being effective against Nene with limited mobility.
