Betting is hard no doubt. Bottom line the only thing that matters is can you pick winners at a decent hit rate with money managment. If you're a 55% long term capper with money managment sure you can accomplish your goals maybe even more. Very difficult to do though because less than 1 out of 500 people (that is being very generous) are capable of doing that long term. Better chance earning $900,000 getting a good education and working hard. Good luck whatever you decide to do!

i say you pick one game you like and do a big money parlay on the second half, pick a team and total. If your good youll get there a lot faster than 10 years. I started with $500 3 weeks ago and im up to 9k. If i was consistent like this and just picked my one game second half id be up a hell of alot more but im a degenerate

I like your ambition. Why not just bet your entire bankroll twice per year? That's means studying and capping for 363 days per year.. lol Starting with $100, you could exceed almost double your goal in 7 years... As risky as that is, you still would have a better shot than playing everyday for 10 years...

Ok all, time to come out with a weekly report of what is going on. Thanks for all of the input. I am ahead right now of where I should be.

First of all let me get to some questions that have been asked. One of them is about my staking size. I have decided to use a piece of software called The Staking Machine. This software has around 40 different staking plans, to include backing, laying and each way plans. The plan I am using is the Retirement plan. It is a plan that over the long haul will protect the bankroll. It is not a Martingale plan but from what I can tell thus far if there is a loss increases the next wager by 25%. I am still experimenting with this. My staking size is running between $2.00 to $2.55 for each wager.

I have also been doing something else with this. I use a reputable sportsbook which is almost on is billionth blackjack bet. Over the past eight days my record is 3-5. Yet I am up $15.00. What I have been doing is playing blackjack to where I am making approximately 5% increase each day. I have a stop/loss set up with the blackjack. If the sports pick wins, then that play will cover the amount for the day. If it does not win then I get on and play blackjack to recover those losses. If the blackjack does not win, I have a definite point I stop at and don't panic. There is always tomorrow.

I know there will be lots of detractors saying there is no way I can keep this up. As I said in an earlier post, this 1st year is very much a learning experience. I am going to discover some things that will work and some that don't. Up to now this method has been working. I have a small inclemental goal to meet. Out of the four nights doing this method, I was off of the blackjack within 10 minutes because I met my small percentage. When I play I only go to the point I set and don't try to push anymore. That also works if I am losing. I lose a certain percentage. then I go no further.

The spreadsheet that I am using has $131.00 at the day 50 point. So right now I am 42 days ahead of schedule. This plan is a very gradual plan. If I can move the schedule up I will do it. I am not going to push extremely hard though and I will be patient with what I am doing. It is like taking baby steps day after day after day. I will get to where I am going. One step at a time.

Also I want to comment here on my posting. I do good some days just to get a pick up. I have all kinds of excuses of why I can't post more often. It literally comes down though as being a time issue. I have to keep my priorities straight. What I can do is keep a running total of wins and losses. Each week I will try to come on here and update what has happened that week. Hey I only have 519 more weeks to go.

One other thing I want to touch on before I finish is that a couple of the posters on here have mentioned winning methods that they use. Like I said this is a learning experience for me. Whatever suggestions you have I will consider them and assess whether or not they are doable for me. Your assistance in this effort is definitely appreciated.

The last thing you want to do is rely on the casino to make you the money... They are set up for you to win at first, then to take you big time... Stick with your picks... Clearly you are in no hurry if you wanted this to take roughly 10 years to complete, so why not just chip away at this? There is always a game being played...
I really want you to succeed here, I don't know why but I do. lol The best advice I can give you is to stay the fuk out of the god damn casino and stick to picking winners... You can do it! Just keep your head down and make the picks...

If I am reading this right, you bet 28 cents??? To make your daily .28% increase? And if you're planning on "making up" a lost days increase of .28%, doesn't that mean the following day you need to double your bets, which...means you're just doing a martingale?

you are wrong here he clearly stated 0.28% not 28%. So he only want to win 28 cents per day.

Dude come on think reasonably here. Online sites make much more money than they pay out, personally I wouldn't even trust the blackjack game is not rigged. Your system is 100% doomed to fail at long term blackjack.

Start with $500 each year and set a goal to win $2000 each year and if you win go on a nice vacation paid for by the books , if you lose that year than no vacation for you and you lose only $500
That is what I consider a reasonable and obtainable goal and how people can make money at gambling.

That should at least keep it honest here. Now you can say in a few days yeah I bet 5 bucks on the losing games, but the ones that I won were my biggest bets with 15 bucks on them
