Each day, StatFox.com gives an estimate for games according to all sorts of trends. I have been following it each day, and the teams that have the edge with the green star have been winning. If you go to this site, click NBA, Game Matchups, and then click the Extended Matchup for the game you would like to see.
In this thread, I will post the teams that have the EDGE according to the spread, and also put all the plays in when StatFox puts out their estimate. For example, if the Pistons are favored by 7.5, and StatFox says the Pistons should only win by 1, then we play the opposing team with the points.
Many of you are familiar with this website, but I will make it more convenient by posting them at SBR.
We will keep track of our record to see how we do.
i have been tracking it since beginning of the season, from November 15 until December 20th 2007 they were correct almost 75% of the time, after that it went nowhere, i had to drop that trend about 10 days ago, i was losing too much money following their advice and all their picks were going against all of my formulas, but good luck to you guys.
I actually really like the Edge plays for tonight.
Orlando is playing Miami without Wade and Shaq, and just played last night and lost to Boston by 30.
New York also just played the Lakers last night, and Utah is 5-0 ATS in their last 5. New York played them well until they got tired in the 4th. And traveling to Utah today for another tough game.
New Orleans is 12-1 ATS in January. GS is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 and played a tough game vs. Houston last night and traveled to New Orleans today.
Edge plays are the ones that are expected to cover easily, according to this websites trends and calculations. Regular plays are the ones that they expect will cover, but maybe by 2 or less points.
The grading is based on putting 2 units on Edge plays, and 1 unit on Regular plays.
i actually was tracking the statfox plays for a while because it seemed like for a while a lot of the NBA plays i liked, statfox would have it as an edge play with a green star. so i keep a little record for about a month, i just stopped this past Sunday cause i didn't notice any significant edge in them.
And as someone pointed out or asked, i'm pretty sure they don't take injuries into account, cause i have noticed games with key players being out and they would still give that team a green star or vice versa. the NHL plays i noticed tend to favor the big dogs on the ML, but they must not take into effect whos in the net, cause the big dog could have a crappy goalie and the big fav has their ace goalie, now i'm not saying upsets don't happen, but just that statfox must not take that into account.
I also noticed that the gren stars can appear early and then go away later and vice versa, example, i've been looking up games late at night with the overnight lines or early in the morning and see a green star by a game, but closer to game time it will disappear, and again vice versa, i don't know how often that has happened, cause i only notice it if i have went back to lookup something for the same game that happened to have a star.
heres what i had jotted down in my notes from Monday Dec. 10th to Sunday Jan. 27th
