Westbrook to Wizards for John Wall + 1st

    Right!

But when has the powers that be in OKC done the right thing?
    That is one inept organization.

Seems like an even swap almost. I favor John Wall if he stays healthy as the better deal in the trade for the future. Harden and Wall now should be interesting.

Wall doesn't have flaring up knees like Russ does now. John Wall just blows out his knees and gets surgery. Big difference there ..

You mean Houston. Houston received Wall and a 1st round pick for Westbrook. Probably just wanted to get rid of Westbrook and I can't say I blame them.

Wall had achilles nobody has ever been a star after than and the Wizards had to throw in a 1st rounder.

Good trade for Houston Westbrook can’t stay healthy or shoot, Wall has his flaws but he’s younger and at this point in their careers better

Kobe came back from Achilles and played well in his late 30's. I disagree.

I'm sure KD will be as good as he was also when he returns and gets in shape. Medical surgeries and rehab is very good today at the elite levels..

The Knicks should have gone after Westbrook harder, the guy gives max effort every night and he might have been a good influence on some of their young guys- Knox & Barrett.

Those guys probably want to shoot too, and Westbrook would NOT help them develop, he would stunt their growth. Knicks are better off without Westbrook. Watch how dysfunctional the Wizards will be this year with two all star players.

One of those guards are moving to the Clippers.

This trade doesn't make sense otherwise.

If Wall was the player he used to be they are much more dangerous he is a better passer shooter and defender, and he may be happy reunited with big cuz.

Scott Brooks said he once asked Russell Westbrook why he was always so angry during games and Westbrook responded, “Coach, I don’t like 58 point guards in the league."

Bradley Beal on John Wall: “It’s been an emotional week. Definitely been some tough 24, 48, 72 hours here, just kind of letting it all seep in and realizing that your brother is no longer here with you no more. He’s off to something better."

I actually think this is way better for Houston. John Wall doesn't like taking 20 shots a game. For his whole career you could always see that he's much more comfortable passing, getting his 10 assists. I think he is a big upgrade, not really in terms of skill, but just in terms of allowing Harden to take the most shots. And then Cousins, I mean I don't know about you guys but prior to him getting injured before the playoffs, he was looking unstoppable in GS. He was playing like 25 and getting 16 pts and 8 rebounds on a team that was absolutely loaded.

A prime Demarcus Cousins is a big big problem for people. He's still arguably in his prime age wise, but with the injuries to him and Wall, it's hard to know if they're going to be at the top of their game. Wall hasn't played basketball in years. And almost the same with cousins with exception to those few months he was healthy.

Houston can be a very scary team with those 3. Plus add a Christian Wood. These guys played NBA playoff basketball with PJ Tucker as their center lol.

If Houston can manage to add a lockdown 3 and D defender, I think they're primed to do damage in the West.

Although it might be a rough start with no chemistry.

just read that celtics are trying to get harden. they are trying to swap kimba and gordon for some young picks. me i would love to couple decent young players. Someone stated they need a young athletic d player. kenyon martin's kid was drafter.
he is 6'6 and very athletic.

John Wall in the 2018 regular season:
    19.4 PPG, 9.6 AST, 1.4 STL, 1 BLK, 51.5 TS%

John Wall in the 2018 playoffs (6 games):
    26 PPG, 11.5 APG, 2.3 STL, 1.3 BLK, 52.8 TS%

He really stepped his game up in the postseason, putting up very impressive numbers, which is nice to see.

John Wall has a total of 50 points in his first two games after a two-year layoff. The last player to do that, per
    @EliasSports
: the Washington Wizards' Michael Jordan in 2001.

Buddy Hield says John Wall was coaching him during the game

"He's talking and being a coach out there for his teammates. He’s very positive. He’s even telling me stuff I can do to get open."

Great time to fade the Wizards now.. They already suck ass this year and can barely win a game. 1-5 so far.

Westbrook never learned how to shoot a jump shot. His biggest curse in his NBA pro career. Besides that his knees are trash now also.
