Pacers +4200 to win the east.

This is the second best roster in the east. I have no doubt that Indiana will be in the mix at the end. It could come down to injuries.

Eh, better bet would've been Indiana to secure home court in the first round or top 4. Everything hinges on Myles Turner having a breakout season which is likely but best case scenario pacers leapfrog Philly or Toronto. 1 of them, not both and certainly not Boston

There we go! I said the same thing a few weeks ago but I'm an Indy homer. Tyreke Evans was a huge addition, but I think Bojan Bogdanovic is the key. He looked like Peja Stojakovic in his prime with Sacramento at times! He avg 18.9 points in February and 15.5 in March. They also had him guarding LeBron in the playoffs and he wasn't getting destroyed atleast. They took it to 7. If he progresses then they're a monster! If he's just another guy then they won't improve. Oladipo is about as good as he's going to get.

Where are they +4200? Almost double what I'm seeing most places.

Myles Turner and Sabonis were both just 21 last year too, so they haven't hit their ceiling yet by far! On the downside....Darren Collison was the leading 3 pt shooter in the NBA last year so they can't expect that to continue.

41-18 lol. Memphis completely sucks! Pacers are so fkn deep!!! I think Oladipo only has 4 pts or something? That McDougal guy is no joke either....like a Kyle Korver type.

Don't make a fool of yourself in this thread. Cause these types of long term predictions in NBA -- when I make a thread about basketball in advance -- are my specialty.

Pacers as good a shot to win the East as anyone outside of Boston.

Bogdon is good but no Peja. Olapdio is still improving. He can be a better playermaker/passer. If he studies D Wade's career. He'll obviously never be Wade.

Evans is the main reason I took this bet. Tyreke Evans is a 20 5 and 5 kind of guy. Off the bench obviously he won't average that, but in the playoffs, he is capable of giving you those numbers during any given game. Huge addition.

Sabonis is another big reason why I took this. Sabonis is going to turn into one of the best offensive big men in basketball. His D still needs work, but the guy is a playmaker.

Pacers bench is bunch better this year with Evans, O'Quinn, and Mcdermott. Mcdermott will come in when Boban is out for some extra shooting with Evans to create. Evans will prolly be in with Boban and Mcdermott both.

Good call on them being in contention. These things almost always come down to injuries. Vic going down is going to put a fork in them.

The Pacers were the most overrated team in the East before the Oladipo injury. Collison isn't a starting point guard, Turner can't post up, Young can't shoot.

Not that I care Thadeus Young is a career 32% 3 point shooter, below average.

32% actually isn't that bad, otherwise the Pacers wouldn't have the 5th best 3pt shooting % in the league

32% is below average for a small forward playing the power forward position like him. I watched him play in PHiladelphia for years, he's a bad shooter. That's part of the reason everyone doubled Oladipo late in games.

It is below average, I agree
