OKC to win the West worth a look??
rhetorical question in my mind - I think it's worth a serious look. the west is down. steph curry out until who knows when. kawhi and the spurs no threat. does anyone really believe harden and cp3 are worth backing to make a serious playoff run?
i think the hungry triumvirate of russ, george and melo, is worth serious consideration to win the west

Their top 4 of Westbrook, George, Adams, Melo is among the best, so they should experience a nice bump due to tighter playoff rotations.
Curry is hurt for GSW. CP3 is injury-prone for HOU. No other team stands out.

I agreed with your post until you mentioned the triumvirate including Anthony. Adams is their 3rd best player and it's not close. It's funny to me guys like Drummond & Whiteside are considered stars while Adams isn't. Probably a racial thing.
they need melo to step up big because his offense is what will be needed to score with the teams like GS, HOU, or Portland should they play them. adams a very good and underrated player but he's not an all time type of hall of fame player like Melo. sorry bro

i want him to play big, he is very key, but when you think of "Big 3" on OKC his name comes up 4th unfortunately. adams, while he does contribute with inside points on offense, has a much bigger role setting screens, playing D, grabbing rebounds, etc. terrific and underrated all around player. read this: if Melo does not come up big, they have no shot to beat Hou in second round. Yes, i am already writing them in to beat Utah and Hou to beat Minny

Okc win series this season against Houston 2-1 Split 2-2 vs.g. State. Lost 4-0 to portland. Okc won't have to play portland except west finals. . Okc has a decent chance to win west.

sometimes it does translate and other times it does not. if a team went 4-0 vs another a team in the reg season, that *usually* means they are much better and if they face each other again the dominant team will win.
but 3-1, 2-2, stuff like this, really does not matter.
48 wins. 60 wins. it usually does not matter.
what matters is who gives max effort, who is hungriest, and who gets the rhythym
i believe the Rockets shot their load this reg season trying to get the 1 seed over GS so they can have home court advantage, and i think they will tire in the playoffs

You were actually more on point when you wrote 2-2. The latter game was meaningless for the Rockets. 1-1 would be more accurate for analytical purposes.
