Miller+Barkley Said Kawhi is the best "both way player"

I don't know about you, but the best both way player in the game should be considered the best player in the NBA. Isn't that what they're saying?

Curry is obviously the best offensive player in the game but his defense doesn't compare to Leonard. That's not to say Curry is a bad defender but Leonard and James are the only two players in the league who can defend anyone in the league.

    3 point shooting this year:
    Curry 46.5%
    Leonard 48.4%

Leonard is shooting 4 3-pointers a game, which is a good amount (not close to the amount Curry shoots, but that is another story)

Lebron when motivated is top 5 defender in the league, anybody watch the playoffs last few years. The guy blocks opposing centres and chase down block guards left and right

You can't be a top 5 anything if someone has to start the sentence by saying "when motivated". The guy has more God given talents than anyone who ever put a basketball uniform ever and he isn't even the best player in the league. That's the type of person he has become. The guy complains about minutes, the second they get down he is the first to quit, and is first to throw anyone else under the bus. Anyone comparing him to Jordan still is just stupid.

leonard also doesnt take contested 3s and doesnt shoot from 28+ feet constantly... Although, Currys 28+ feet shots actually IMPROVE his 3 pt % for the year considering hes shooting like 60% from beyond 28 feet lol... Think about that for a second..

I get it doggy Jordan is the goat, when it is all said and done lbj will still be a top 5 player of all time and my point was that lebron is definately capable of guarding ish smith as good as any defender in the league

Curry (while certainly not in Leonard's league) is a better defender than people give him credit for. You don't average over 2 steals per game as a fluke. Lightning fast hands and solid positional footwork combined with an ability to read screens, makes him an above average on-ball defender...

After he hit the 35ft game winner he was on the bench for a defensive lineup when Westbrook missed the tying shot.

Steals are a poor measure of defense as most steals come from off the ball reaching and passing lanes (lightning fast hands like you said for Curry). Rubio is a horrid defender yet averages 2 steals a game. Another example would be Iverson who was a master at playing passing lanes and averaged over 2 steals a game for years but was far from a good defender.

Above average is definitely reaching for Curry, average at best.

Rubio a horrid defender? I think you're living about 3 years ago. Rubio is a pretty average defender these days, if not slightly above avg. Iverson was also a solid defender. A horrid defender for a starting pg...let me think...jeff teague is pretty awful, jose calderone pretty bad, isiah thomas isn't good, kyrie irving....now he is an awful defender...rubio is a better defender than all those guys. he was bad early in his career though. much improved.

All the elite players are still good two way players. Maybe they excel a bit more on one side. But they can all play on both sides of the ball.
Leonard is clearly not on Curry's level as an overall basketball player, that's coming from a big Leonard fan and someone who picked the Spurs to win it all this year. That's just an absurd statement overall. Curry can impact a basketball game in many more ways than Leonard. You can't just put Kawai Leonard on Curry and think he's going to stop him. Leonard is the best defender in the NBA but he is not stopping Curry. He may be able to hold him to a somewhat inefficient 27 though if he guarded him the whole game.
