    76ers hire Jerry Colangelo as Chairman of Basketball Operations

    Gives them some credibility for this whole tanking process. Colangelo is mega name in basketball.

    Essentially will serve as a figurehead.

    Colangelo will turn them around.

    I was all for what the Sixers were doing a couple years ago, but I was wrong. They have almost nothing to show for. Embid may never play a game in the NBA. Noel is basically a role player. Only guy who looks like a good piece to build around is Okafor.

    doesnt help they have been unlucky in the lottery order either. doug collins left the team in shambles so im not sure what else they could have done.

    They're in a better spot now than when they were the perennial 8th seed in the East with Iguodala & L.Williams the stars

    They just haven't drafted well. Should have taken Porzingis over Okafor, obviously. A.Gordon the year before that. The year before that they had two picks (mcw/ noel) but it was a piss-weak draft.
