The thing that really sucks is Kobe is the last of his kind. He's cut from the same cloth as Jordan in that he was super competitive and wanted to not just beat the other guys but step on their throats while doing it. Kobe was cool as a kid as I use to work out with him at Golds Gym in Venice his rookie year. Spotted him on bench a few times and shot the shit.. He would come in at night when I went (off game nights). He was just a kid then and wide eyed.. I liked him as he was cool though then.. Saw him at the Grove with his wife getting out of his Range Rover a few years ago and he was rude and snuffing all his fans, kids too as he walked thru the Grove in Hollywood Cali.. People always compare Jordan to Lebron but a better comparison is Jordan to Kobe imo.
Kobe had the same type of killer instinct Jordan had. Lebron is physically more gifted than both of them but Kobe and MJ just had the heart of a lion.
You brought up Westbrook which is a decent comparison but not quite the same if you know what I mean. Westbrook has the same "type" of mentality but he isn't quite on Kobe's level. That's why I like Westbrook so much. Durant doesn't have that mentality at all.
