Thunder GM Sam Presti held a press conference on Friday in which he announced that Kevin Durant will be "removed from all basketball activities" and he will be "out indefinitely."
While Presti did not say that Durant will remain sidelined for the remainder of the season, he said that Durant will be "out indefinitely" due to ongoing soreness in his surgically repaired right foot. "If that takes the rest of the regular season, if that takes the rest of the playoffs, that’s what it takes," said Presti. It doesn't sound like Durant is anywhere close to making a return to the court after experiencing his most recent setback, so he can probably be dropped in most leagues for those fighting to make the playoffs. With Serge Ibaka (knee) and Durant out, Russell Westbrook is going to be a monster.
