Jarrett Jack Traded to the Nets

Three-team trade with Cavaliers and Celtics.

The Nets will also acquire F Sergey Karasev from Cleveland, and Boston will pick up a first-round draft pick for helping to facilitate the deal. The Cavs' incentive is ridding themselves of Jack's remaining $12.6 million over two years, giving them the necessary salary-cap space for a max offer to LeBron James. They'll also get a second-round pick from Boston. Jack may start at shooting guard if the Nets opt to use a small lineup again next season, or he may backup both PG and SG as a primary reserve. The 30-year-old veteran is coming off a down season in Cleveland and the change of scenery should do him good.

Not necessarily, the Cavs are making it possible for them to make Bron an offer. This could backfire if LeBron goes back to Miami, as many suspect he will.

"backfire" may be wrong word, as they cleared a lot of cap space regardless.

if they get Love, and have more $$ for Lebron id say its basically a 100% lock he goes there
imagine kyrie, waiters, wiggins, lebron, love that team could win easily 3 chips

even if waiters is one to get traded to create capspace, they could fill in a veteran guard and still be good to go
